Classic pub with a nice vibe and friendly staff! We were looking for a traditional pie and The White Lion didn’t disappoint! I would recommend it!

Traditional English pub in happening Covent Garden district with delicious meat pies, great beer and better service. Quaint location and ambiance. Loved it.

Such an iconic pub! Packed with a mix of Londoners and tourists. A well worth visit to sip a beer and feed off the atmosphere although the food served is great too.

A spectacular place to stop for lunch before visiting Coven Garden. The food was very good and the service very friendly. Normally photos of food are published, I like to show how good the food was with clean plates

We're both pescaterians so it was an obvious choice to try out their Fish Chips and Fish pie. Both were amazing! I tried a surprising beer that is now one of my faves. The staff was kind and welcoming. Vibes to the max! 10/10 Thank you White Lion!

Today, we went to a pub for lunch and the friendly bar staff directed us to the upstairs restaurant, which was charming. My wife enjoyed the fish and chips, and the kids' portion was perfect for our 10-year-old. My lamb shank pie was delicious, especially when paired with a pint of Neck Oil. Overall, it was a visit that we are sure to repeat in the future.

Wow....we love this pub. Its small, busy and very friendly. Staff are great too. Up for the weekend to watch Argyle v Chelsea....we met a Chelsea supporter and his friends and had a great time over about 6hrs !! Nice beer, good gins and nice chips!! We don't make a habit of going back to the same pub but this place was the exception....back Sunday night for more !!

I recently had a fantastic dining experience at a lovely pub with a small, cozy dining area. I ordered the fish pie, which was perfectly hot and delicious, while my sister opted for the chicken mushroom pie, which was equally excellent. The service was top-notch, with two women managing the packed restaurant flawlessly. Despite arriving without a reservation around 4:30, we were lucky to snag a table by the window. Highly recommend!

Close to Covent Garden can be found The White Lion pub. Upstairs from the delightful pub is a treasure of a restaurant you might easily miss. The Pie Shop is a small, 9 tables mostly for 2, plus a small bar, in a room most might consider a reasonable sized front room, restaurant. Meals are prepared on the floor above and served via dumb waiter to the restaurant floor. To say the space available to this establishment is restricted is an understatement though customers would not think so given the excellent service and quality of fare offered.
