"here with 5 others tonight for birthday. my wife ordered the £40 ‘whole’ lobster, which was actually a bit lobster meat that was stuffed back into the smallest lobster shell they have ever seen, this ‘whole’ lobster had no claw on it! my own and a friend ordered the lockbriand, which was actually just a slotted filet steak for the 3 times the price. I complained to the service manager and he told me that this was a bureaucracy and it was a “very expensive piece of meat”. the guy thought I never ordered a lock! Moreover, the court came with 2 portions of frits that arrived at at at least 10 minutes after the meat! as an apology, the manager gave us £9 of the £180 bill and gave us a £6 bottle champagne! thank you! don't eat here. they would get better food and better service in wetherspoon!"

Had afternoon tea here, food was good, tea spot on, the orangery was really nice where we ate and the lady serving us was so nice! Definitely reccomend!

eating was decent, had two courses cheese souffle was delicious and the steaks were made beautiful. the lighting was for most of the jught with the middle lights that are gone, which means that they eat in the dark

the bar and restaurant lacked a little atmosphere, but the food was delicious, perfectly cooked and well presented. the menu is limited with only 8 options. we had a nice evening, although I am uncertain, we would return. Speisekarte ansehen

I only had dinners and drinks here so I can't comment. Eating was excellent and well presented. some employees a little young and inexperienced, but we all have to start somewhere so, all at all beautiful places to eat and relax with a drink in the sesseln in the lounges.

this restaurant is located in the hotel doubletree by hilton, york. the food was good, but what followed was disappointing and pampering our evening, as doublecharge could be a more suitable name. they accused my credit card twice for our mealtimes and when I insisted on an immediate refund, they told me it was impossible (yes, right!) in a hagel unplausible excuse I was sent away to sort the problem with my bank. that is not possible to treat their customers.
