"Absolutely shocking service. Ordered at 18:20, got a notification on just eat that it was delivered at 9pm it was not. Phone was turned off so we had to go into the store to find out what was going on. Apparently there had been an incident in the kitchen, then the story had changed to being short staffed, then no delivery staff. They only wanted to partially refund even though we had never received the food!! Abysmal service I will never return. There are plenty more better options in West Lothian. Extremely disappointed!"

"Next to an extensive public car park with very few spaces, the Balbairdie Inn looks rather like a village pub relocated to the middle of an industrial site in Bathgate. The décor and furnishings are tired and depressed and in dire need of refurbishment but the welcome at the bar was very warm and we were served with drinks and shown quickly to our round table for six in a private area towards the back. The food order was taken fish and chips for four and homemade steak pie for two and we waited a very long time for it to arrive due to limited cooking facilities and staffing within the kitchen. On the plus side, the fish and chips were, I gather, very good and the steak pie was one of the best I have had for years in a pub. Special mention has to made of the waitress who was exceptionally friendly, cheerful and good fun whose interactions made a long wait seem shorter. She was 5 star but the overall service rating has to take into account the long time to get the food out of the kitchen (hopefully much quicker if there is just two of you rather than six! The coffee (rudimentary instant should be avoided until management invest in some equipment capable of producing a real cup of joe"

"The restaurant offers a diverse menu, featuring decor that caters to different tastes. Our group of four each ordered something different and unanimously agreed that the food was delicious. We also tried the Thai banana and jackfruit dessert, which was a new addition to the menu, and it was fantastic. The service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely return!"

"Always order from here and tonight was no exception,normally so so good and tonight it was the worst I've had from here. Burnt chips burnt pizza, mozzarella on chips and cheese when expressly asked for cheddar. Normally so good as I say. New staff member ? After receiving a full new order unprompted and not asked for I amend this review. The new pizza was amazing as usual. Chips perfect and chips and cheese were as requested. I appreciate the endeavour to rectify the situation and will continue to get my pizzas from the best pizza place in town. We all have off days but it's how we fix things that matters. Appreciated.thank you"

"Absolutely appalling. We have been going here for years and loved it and the staff. I ordered a delivery. It took ages and the lady who answered the phone when I ordered clearly had no clue what Indian dishes were. I was going to ask for the manager but decided to give her the benefit of the doubt but she struggled so much she had to put the manager on. He then charged me over £40 for a main dish and three sides. I queried it and he knocked off a tiny bit. Final result… we got delivery after one hour and it was wrong!! No chicken tikka main dish.. just lots of curry sauce. I rang and complained . Was asked if I wanted it delivered now?!!!! Offered a refund which didn’t seem much so said no I won’t be back again. So disappointing.., wonder if it’s new staff? Will useDelhi winter in future… totally reliable."
