Simple menus of toasted sandwiches, bits of chicken, salads and excellent chips. F=Great and friendly service and really excellent value £30 for 3 for lunch)

Found while self touring through the area, terrific find. Menu is somewhat limited but was really good. Toastie sandwiches (grilled) super, perfect portions, nothing but quality. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love Trents! You won’t find a better toastie and chips in London or nicer hosts than Arthur and Aurora. If Cheers was reinvented as a cafe in central London, it would be Trents, a warm and welcoming place where everybody knows your name (and order). Speisekarte ansehen

The toasties ooze with gorgeous melted cheese. The owners are as friendly as they come and will really look after you. All round, a great place to escape the craziness of London on any day of the week. Highly recommended and a real favourite for many who work locally.

We stumbled on Trents a while back and have been returning customers ever since. It is consistently good and never fails to hit the spot. The salads are to die for, the chips, the toasties out of this world. But what makes Trents is Aurora in the kitchen who makes the food with love, to be served by Arthur with equal love. It really is a special place and i can't recommend it highly enough. Oh and the wine is sublime.

We stumbled upon this gem on Leather Lane for lunch after visiting the hair salon around the corner. Mr. Trent was in and such a delight to talk to. On this rainy day, we tried a soup and toastie that did not disappoint! My friend had a wine opened for personal enjoyment by Mr. Trent and she fell in love with it. My tomato soup was delicious! I stumbled upon this cafe restaurant by chance and was on my own, just walking up the street after a meeting in the area. Had a really lovely Niçoise salad for a quick lunch. It was a peaceful haven from the busy street and the food felt nourishing and healthy. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Man next to me was just having cake and coffee. A gentle place, that gave me a sense of happiness and respite from busy London ona sunny spring day. I highly recommend it!

My colleagues introduced me to Trent’s a couple of weeks ago so I tried the online ordering/pick up first, and it worked a treat: the food was ready when I got there, and I happily munched on warm, crispy chips and one of the best toasties I’ve had in years. Pulled pork with some other small additions and perfectly toasted with ridges on the bread. Nice. Last week, the same people took me in for lunch. The atmosphere is super friendly, like going to see your family for lunch! It was a Tuesday so a salad day, and what a great salad it was. This place is awesome and the owners (husband and wife) are so friendly, I would happily go back frequently. Well worth a visit.

Trents café in Leather Lane, London is special. The simple dishes salads, soups and wonderful toasted sandwiches are prepared with great care and lovely ingredients. The ambience is relaxed and friendly, and the location is buzzing. But what makes Trents different? The people running the place. Arthur looks after front of house, while Aurora in her red bandana stays in the kitchen, braving the heat and cooking up enough food to feed an army. The point is, the whole experience is personal and you're made to feel more like welcomed guests than paying customers. I've been to Trents quite a few times now and soon I'll be leaving the area.
