"This is one of these many places located in a small side street that you went without notice during the day when all tables are gone. In the evening it turns into a lively alley where locals and tourists enjoy drinks and dinner. We are here several times in the evening and the restaurant was always a good sign, so we tried our last night in Catania. The male only staff is a bit rough, but friendly, English not their strong point. We were served immediately, ordered a Grillo white vine and the mixed antipasto. Like everything else, it was relatively unceremonic, not really decorated on a large plate. After we tried all 7 or different specialties, we decided that this was the best starter we had in Sicily in our two weeks. And that for 7 Eur! The tastes were so different and unique that we could simply eat and do another dish. As main dishes we had mixed roast fish and a tuna steak with caramelized onions. The mixed fish consisted of 3 different species and was plentiful, and perfectly cooked. The tuna steak was delicious and the combination with the onions for me to combine new experience, a great place to have a delicious Sicilian meal."

Excellent seafood cozze peppate, very good pasta. House wine in carafe was not expensive but went well eith the food. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Traditional seafood restaurant, they have fresh fish every day. The Pasta alla Norma and Carbonara were the best I had eaten in the city and the Desserts list was enormous. Definitely recommend to eat here!

Delicious typical Sicilian food in a beautiful atmosphere outside in a small street of the most important Piazzas of Catania. Appropriate prices and very friendly staff, I definitely recommend when you are in Catania!!

This is one of the best Trattorias I was in Catania. Make sure to give the fish of the day an attempt. It's fresh and they prepare it right away. It's exquisite. The deserts are so, but refreshing (no more than fruity to sweeten). If you order the fish of the day, the waiters have it for you, even if you are good with eating all the fish, it is a very theatrical performance. Speisekarte ansehen

The food just wasn't good or authentic Italian. The fried mixed fish was strange. The prawns hadn't been deveined and I couldn't identify any of the others. The spaghetti carbonara was salty. The sauce had clearly split and the pan was scrapped on top of the dish. The pancetta was mostly fatty pieces. The icing in the cake was the chipped coffee cup. I certainly wouldn't recommend this place and it is best avoided.

Unfortunately I have to give this restaurant a bad review only because of the way they dealt with the bill. When we arrived, the waiter told us we could have a taster aperitivo menu and then see if we wanted anything more. We agreed so we didn't look into the menu and let them bring us whatever they wanted to offer. It was delicious and we didn't need more...at this stage I would give it a 4 star. But then we asked for the bill... And they charged us for each plate in the taster menu individually as if we had ordered each dish straight off the menu. That's not what a taster menu is!
