A great selection of fish and pasta dishes. Huge portions and great value for money. Lovely venue, beautiful decor. Wine menu a little limited but good basics.

Traditional seafood restaurant, they have fresh fish every day. The Pasta alla Norma and Carbonara were the best I had eaten in the city and the Desserts list was enormous. Definitely recommend to eat here!

Great location, a good menu with a great selection of fresh fish. We both had swordfish which was very fresh and perfectly cooked. We actually went back a second night. If you have a little language it helps but we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Speisekarte ansehen

This is one of the best Trattorias I was in Catania. Make sure to give the fish of the day an attempt. It's fresh and they prepare it right away. It's exquisite. The deserts are so, but refreshing (no more than fruity to sweeten). If you order the fish of the day, the waiters have it for you, even if you are good with eating all the fish, it is a very theatrical performance.

The food just wasn't good or authentic Italian. The fried mixed fish was strange. The prawns hadn't been deveined and I couldn't identify any of the others. The spaghetti carbonara was salty. The sauce had clearly split and the pan was scrapped on top of the dish. The pancetta was mostly fatty pieces. The icing in the cake was the chipped coffee cup. I certainly wouldn't recommend this place and it is best avoided.

We went twice and both nights were excellent. This Trattoria is both a sleeper and a standout. If you are stopping over in Catania for any reason, don't miss it. We tried the expertly sauced Beef dishes, the simple Green Salad and on the second visit, the Prawn and Shrimp Linguine, the Mussels in Black Pepper and the Orange and Fennel Salad. Unfortunately I have to give this restaurant a bad review only because of the way they dealt with the bill. When we arrived, the waiter told us we could have a taster aperitivo menu and then see if we wanted anything more. We agreed so we didn't look into the menu and let them bring us whatever they wanted to offer. It was delicious and we didn't need more...at this stage I would give it a 4 star. But then we asked for the bill... And they charged us for each plate in the taster menu individually as if we had ordered each dish straight off the menu. That's not what a taster menu is! La trattoria colpisce per il suo folclore, le pareti colorate e piene di oggetti, soprammobili, tante foto e piatti appesi, tutto crea un’atmosfera di casa, con in sottofondo una musica bellissima….finalmente le canzoni tradizionali italiane e non il solito bum bum! La gestione è affidata agli uomini di una stessa famiglia: padre, figli e nipote. Il servizio è molto sbrigativo e di poche parole. Il menù rispetta la tradizione catanese. As a small business owner, I struggled mentally with the thought of leaving a 1 star. But you ruined our first night in Italy, and fully deserve it. Host called me a Baby and ruined our dinner because he was too lazy to get another straw. My fiancée and I are in Italy to get married, we went on a night stroll and found this restaurant which seemed quaint and nice. The hosts at first seemed gracious and kind as well.
