"Trattoria Ruggero , close to Porta Romana (1.5 km south of the river) serves a traditional Tuscan menu and the preparation and presentation are first class. The dining rooms are small with tables close together. All dishes are meat , pasta or vegetarian; no fish or pizza on offer. The spaghetti with Tuscan platter to start, chicken liver pate, the spaghetti with minced beef and slow cooked beef in tomato sauce were all excellent. The menu is only in Italian and the staff are rightly unapologetic. However the waiter was most helpful with descriptions. The red house wine was wonderful. The guy behind the counter at the entrance was a bit surly and enjoyed giving walk ins the bad news, that all tables were booked. A must visit."

Una delle migliori trattorie di Firenze. L’arista è un capolavoro. L’insalata di ovuli pure. Il servizio è sempre molto cordiale e veloce.

Ottima cena, accoglienza gentile, primi abbondanti e di gusto, abbiamo assaggiato i pici, i tortelli e i maccheroncini, arista ottima così come le polpette, anche i carciofi e le patate di contorno molto gustose. Vino della casa piacevole. Da tornare sicuramente.

Ottima scelta!! In tre, abbiamo preso crostini, pappa al pomodoro, braciola con patate, bollito misto, carciofi in tegame, e per finire una cremosissima cheese-cake. Tutto squisito, a un prezzo onestissimo. Personale molto simpatico, atmosfera accogliente. Super raccomandato!
