Best around for miles.Eaten here over the past 4/5 years now and has always been great .Lovely food nice decor always good service .

Beautiful food, well worth a visit! There was quite a lot of us and nothing was too much trouble. Have recommended to family and friends.

Visited Vakas for the second time and both occasions have been disappointed with the service the main guy is very cold and unwelcoming I visit restaurants frequently and this is by far the worst , we were pressured into ordering , we weren’t offered desserts or Coffee and the bill was unceremoniously plonked on the table before we asked , the food is good but unfortunately the service is inadequate, I have spoken to other friends and family who have had the same experience at Vakas

We were served by Ayas Ali who was very attentive and looked after our service. We had a starter each, the shish kebab was one of the best I've ever tasted. I chose a Lamb Bombay a dish that was created by the chef there. What a tasty and satisfying dish. My wife had a Chicken tikka stir fry. Both dishes were perfectly prepared and served with a special pilao rice. The portions were very generous. The total cost of two starters, two mains, a special rice and one Cola drink only came to £38. Thank you once again Ayas Ali and all the staff for looking after us. Speisekarte ansehen

Didn’t go in, but ordered takeaway this evening for a korma and pilau rice. The food arrived promptly, however when I took a bite into the chicken, it was a strange hue of pink, brown and grey! I couldn’t eat it. Pilau rice was hard and cold. Oh, can’t forget the salad, which arrived on a meat? Like? Styrofoam with a single slice of (half) a tomato, lemon and cucumber. Been ordering here for a number of years and the chicken has been rank for some time now. Won’t be returning or recommending again. Maybe 2024 can be the year of improving health and safety standards. Ps. The chicken in the photo is quite literally covered in korma seasoning. Lucky I spat it all out or I’d be in a&e!

I ordered tandoori chicken and it arrived raw. The restaurant was very busy and tried to serve us before we had finished eating our poppadoms. It was my sister’s birthday and her meal had very little chicken and was practically cold. When we complained they offered to change my meal, at that point my sister had been put off the rest of her meal, so waiting for another one was not an option. They still insisted we pay for the food minus The tandoori chicken. Very poor, we will not return. My sister had eaten there previously and had been violently sick but at that point she didn’t attribute this to the food, which of course we do now. The car park is also dark, lacking outside lighting.

Although the food was nice, the experience was not! The manager was rude and did not make us feel welcome. Rushed us to order saying we had limited time at the table as it was booked for another group in 90 minutes. Then the food took forever to arrive. Waiting for the bill and for a waiter to come and take our payment felt like an eternity! We left 45 minutes after the time the manager said the next booking was due to arrive, they never came because there was no other booking! One waiter opened the door for us when we left and said thank you. That was the most polite any of the staff had been all evening.
