"Just had Sunday lunch in the restaurant with husband, daughter, son-in-law, and 6 week old grand-daughter. We had booked and made the staff aware that we would have a pram with us. Fortunately the tables weren't packed in so there was plenty of room to park the pram without impeding the waiting staff or other guests. I hate eating in a cramped restaurant where the chairs touch each other at the back. There was plenty of room to swing a cat! Our drinks were served promptly as were the starters. We were then told we could go to the carvery and select our meals. All the meats were excellent and the pork crackling was very crackly. There was a good choice of vegetables and everything was nicely hot. The gravy was medium to thick (I hate gravy that is like water! and tasty. My daughter had to feed the baby so we asked our waitress to hold the desserts, which she willingly did. After desserts we had a good selection of cheese and biscuits followed by coffee and chocolate mints. I would say that this is the best Sunday roast I have had in a long time and I will certainly be back for more."

Reception was hard to find in dark as not well lite or sign posted. Reception not very well manned stood around for a while as short staffed. Food good though. The rooms were nice enough clean (But not what I would class as a master suite) Ok for a night tho

I made a reservation for the Sunday Carvery for a family gathering, priced at £27 per person for 4 courses. There was a nice selection of starters and desserts. The carvery meats were well-cooked, and there were plenty of vegetable options, although the potatoes were not up to par. We ended the meal with a cheese board and coffee. Liberty provided excellent and friendly service.

We booked the Sunday Carvery for four of us we were all delighted with our Meals! Each course was absolutely amazing! The Beef was so tender everything was hot so full of flavour! Everything is so well organised service was really good! A three course meal a large Cheese Platter with Tea Coffee to finish for £27.50! Excellent value! Will definitely recommend will certainly be going back!

Booked for Fathers Day! Starters were very nice, the carvery wasn’t to our taste! Turkey wasn’t very nice, lots of dark spots in the meat! I prefer nice white meat! Roast potatoes had something salty on them! Red cabbage was vinegary, carrot and swede mash has spices in it, parsnips were hard! Desserts and coffee were very nice! Would go back for the normal menu as the restaurant is very nice!

We had a surprise birthday dinner for my daughter with around 20 friends and family. It was absolutely brilliant considering how many of us there were for a Sunday carvery the staff done really well keeping every one happy and well fed . Bar staff are also great. The sunday carvery is the best one I've been too. A mention to the horse radish sauce it's amazing. Proper sinus tickler Highly recommended

For what was advertised as probably the best carvery in Kent, all four of us were very disappointed and won’t be going back. There was plenty of food but only nut roast offered as the vegetarian alternative. Service was ‘indifferent’ and the discretionary tip added to the bill. For four courses plus coffee and chocolates, it’s definitely not a bad price but the quality was not what was expected, given the claim!

The four-course Sunday Carvery at the Weald of Kent Golf Club Restaurant is a great deal. The starters had a good variety (I chose the fish cake), the carvery meats were cooked perfectly and very flavorful (with a wide selection of vegetables), and there were plenty of dessert options (I chose the bread and butter pudding). Afterwards, we enjoyed a selection of cheeses on a well-stocked cheeseboard. My wife has a Gluten Free diet, but the staff were helpful in guiding her towards suitable options. The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was lovely. We will definitely be returning.

Booked today for what we thought would be the Sunday Lunch but unfortunately missed the carvery. Decided that as setting was nice we would stay. The room we was in was dirty and musty, the glasses we used for drinking were filthy. The food is disgusting not one of us enjoyed our meal in fact 3 out of 5 were sent back and the other 2 only ate as we/they were starving. My sons chicken burger was so deeply fried and solid it was Impossible to eat. The “Steak” burger was no different to a Big Mac and for almost £16 it was a joke, the coleslaw that accompanied the burger was Salty and the fries were so skinny they were hard. Unfortunately shall never eat there again we shall just use it for the g...

If you're looking for a place to eat before embarking on a cruise from Dover, look no further than this hidden gem we stumbled upon while traveling to Spain, Portugal, and Italy. Located off the beaten path from London, we discovered this restaurant on Hotels.com and were pleasantly surprised with the experience. The highlight of our visit was the delicious lunch we had - I ordered the roast pork belly, while my daughter enjoyed the fish and chips. The pork belly was simply exquisite, accompanied by a side of cabbage in celeriac confit that was out of this world. My daughter couldn't stop praising the fish and chips, declaring them the best we had on our entire trip. We were so impressed tha...

"I feel a bit bad about writing this, but for the first time ever there 's only 1 star and probably the longest comments I 've left. We arrived around 12:15 on a September Thursday after having a walk hungry, we fancied a pub lunch. Staff were pleasant if a bit rushed the young lady behind the bar was on her own and doing the best she could. Several things were off the menu, but we ordered a Curry of the day (Thai Green on this occasion) and sausage mash with gravy. Difficult things to screw up... After a reasonable wait, two small dishes appeared. The Thai Curry was tiny, containing a few small bits of grilled chicken in a fairly anaemic sauce, with a small amount of plain white rice on the side; the two sausages were quite small and on a small bed of mash surrounded by gravy. Both dishes were stone cold. We sent them back. Frankly, if we hadn 't paid in advance, I 'd have left at that point. A few minutes later they re appeared, along with a small dish of sweet chilli sauce and 3 small prawn crackers, two of which were not properly cooked (still solid in parts, i.e. not cooked hot or long enough). The sausages were now hot, the mash lukewarm and the gravy cloying and still pretty cold. Being fair, the very small sausages were quite tasty, but the mash was under/not seasoned and the gravy had little flavour, no onion or anything even vaguely interesting, and was still cold. The curry was a disgrace. The rice was flaccid and tasteless, the curry had almost no flavour and the chicken was watery, and pretty grim (tasteless too). Tiny portion as well. We left the curry. I did eat the sausage mash as I was really hungry, but in retrospect wished I hadn 't. I almost never leave food anywhere in the world, but I left that curry. I 'm not sure how dishes that bad could be let out of any kitchen. We complained to the waitress (who was doing her best) she asked us not to leave and a minute or two later refunded our main courses with an apology. I felt for her as she was doing her best as front of house when the kitchen was a shocker. Note that we didn 't ask for a refund or even hint, they just provided it. I 've never asked for a refund. It 's sad, as these days rural pubs need to do things right, but this wasn 't just small things; everything they could have done wrong with those two dishes they did wrong. Nothing cooked from fresh, nothing checked before leaving the kitchen, tasteless food, tiny portions, cold."
