There weren't many lunch options available, so I ended up ordering a jacket potato with beans.

Good food, good value. All enjoyed the meals. Had to sit in a bar because we were a party of 7 but that was fine

Good food, friendly service. We enjoyed their scampi, garden peas, sweet potato fries, and beef lasagne with garlic bread and salad

Vegetables overcooked, potatoes undercooked, meat fine. Not easy bringing food past the bar with people talking across staff very helpful but it was understaffed

We enjoyed the homemade pub grub with the best homemade chips! Our Son has a severe nut allergy, the Chef was reassuring and informative to his needs. Very welcoming and attentive staff.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic and well-priced. This was our second time visiting on consecutive Fridays and we highly recommend this pub/restaurant to anyone in the Amble area. We will definitely be returning soon.

Food was Look warm and didn’t look the best there was no roast potatoes ready when we got called to go for are carvery guy said he would bring some over when there ready I had finished my meal when they did arrive and when my partner cut one open it was hard we complained and was given a full refund We won’t be returning

We visited this place 11 months ago and it was fine but I'm sorry to say since our last visit it has gone downhill, I ordered fish and chips which came very quickly I have to say , but it was a case of hunt the fish , plenty of batter but very little fish and what there was it was poor quality, we won't be returning there any time soon if ever I'm sorry to say .

Yesterday, both the food and service at The Wellwood Arms were excellent. I ordered the delicious meaty Sunday dinner, while my partner enjoyed the fish and chips, which were also very good. The staff was extremely friendly, happy, and helpful throughout our visit. We spent most of our time in the bar and had a wonderful experience. We will definitely be returning soon. - Chris Mary
