Excellent food and ambience. Amazing surroundings for a romantic meal.

Superb mosh in grand surroundings with welcoming attentive staff as always.

As good as ever. Just a shame we had a VERY noisy table next to us and could not hear each other speak with out raising our voices. 1st time this has ever happened.

The meal was enjoyable but had an awful, embarrassing start to it as I turned up at the desk and there was no record of my reservation through opentable despite getting an email confirmation. Luckily they had just had a cancellation, so could fit me in but it could have ruined what was our anniversary meal if they hadn't!

My wife’s birthday and the setting and food was perfect. Very expensive but it was my wife’s birthday. The staff were amazing especially the girl that looked after us and saw us to our table, she is a credit to Luton Hoo. I nice touch at the end with a birthday message on the plate saying happy birthday in chocolate with sweets. Would go again Speisekarte ansehen

The atmosphere of Luton Hoo is the main reason to go; the restaurant is set in a very grand room. The service is outstanding. However the food was merely ok. I am a member of the Luton Hoo Elite Privileges club, and so I eat free when dining with another guest. It's good value for money when I eat free, but if I was paying full price I would have been extremely disappointed, as the quality of the food is just not anywhere what you'd expect when paying £70 per person for the tasting menu.

On first arrival we ordered a cocktail each. The alcoholic one was poor value in our opinion. Bar service in the lounge was excellent! Restaurant was a touch cold when we entered although in fairness we were on the earliest sitting adjacent a window it's a vary large but grand space. The waiter connected an electrical heater which improved things slightly. Starters: excellent. Mains: limited choice disappointing. Sweet: very good. Service level: excellent our friendly waitress recognised my wife's perfume she should be a detective!

We have visited the Wernher several times, and always enjoyed our meal, service and ambience. On this occasion we chose the tasting menu with the wine pairing menu. An excellent choice, the chef has carefully chosen such a great selection of seasonal dishes. The meal was faultless, and so delicious. Each course was served with a carefully chosen wine. Once again the selection was spot on. Each course and also each wine was explained and described once served at the table. The service was attentive and not intrusive. I had notified open Table that it was my husbands birthday but this information was not passed on.. That is the only negative comment, and it certainly did not mar the evening as...
