The Old Chapel - Speisekarte

Always enjoy going to the old chapel in Darwen, we haven't been disappointed yet food wise, excellent range of beers at low prices.

My wife and I went to this restaurant for breakfast and we each had a sausage sandwich, which was delicious and piping hot. The coffee was also excellent, as always!

Just been here and the service was awful, had my hand up for and nobody came to serve me.. took to bring our drinks over and an hour for food and my daughter had paper inside her meal and couldn’t eat the rest...due to this, asked for a full refund for the inconvenience and they refused to give us the full refund and only a refund for meal, never again will I go here! I have been to this restaurant multiple times and I have to commend the staff, as well as the delicious food and drinks. The fish is always cooked perfectly and the curries are excellent. The breakfast options are plentiful and the prices are unbeatable. The building is lovely and the toilets are kept super clean. Overall, this restaurant is doing a great job and I hope they continue to keep up the good work.

Visited Wetherspoons in Darwen tonight and to say I was disappointed is an understatement, we ordered classic sirloin steak, which when it arrived on a big blue plate, looked lost just a plain steak and a jacket potato, the steak was just gristle all...the way through, what a waste of money, I had the chicken jalfrezi which was ok, but only just, the size has been reduced, we had to come home to get something to eat, NEVER again, and we used to enjoy Wetherspoons.

With COVID going on you'd think these places would be taking more time to clean and sanitise ....not here ...the tables were filthy and the disposable menus never removed ....there must have been umpteen on the table ...when we asked if they could clean the...table ....the server chucked a dirty dishcloth on the table and asked us to do it ourselves !!! ...this is Wetherspoons I hear you say ...but honestly me and my friend meet here all the time ....but never again Was worried about catching something and it wasn't COVID!!! Visited here today on a stop off on the way to Ewood Park. Absolutely stunning building both inside and out but my goodness the staff are a miserable lot. The young girls on shift today looked bored and miserable and were very off hand almost...bordering on rude when spoken to. Drinks and food ordered via the app which were both served wrongly with not a word said just tray plonked on table with drinks no interaction at all. Girls moaning between themselves about shifts at Christmas all within our earshot and which quite spoiled our visit. Please educate these miserable young ladies in customer care

No hand sanitizer when coming through the door. Mentioned it to staff and they said there is another round the corner. Wasn't refilled whilst we where there. Asked twice for our table to be cleaned after me taking empty glasses up to the bar. My...other half had to had to go up to get cleaning stuff and do it himself. Before the food came before the drinks and then the forgotten to bring us forks for out steaks. As we ordered meals on app we asked if we can have an extra bit of cheese on the kids jacket spud as there wasn't an option for it and they brought the smallest little bowl of cheese for an extra bit of a rip off !! We used to come here all the time but I must say I won't be rushing...

I visited this restaurant today, and every aspect of the experience was terrible from start to finish. The temperature inside was freezing, the ordering app wasn't functioning, there were no bottles of wine available for purchase, the menus were dirty, the staff seemed unhappy, and the food was below average. There were loud and rude customers, some of whom appeared to be intoxicated and smelling of urine. Additionally, there were families with screaming babies present. To make matters worse, the power went out at one point, but the staff failed to communicate what was happening.
