Just what you want from a country pub. Great atmosphere. Friendly locals. Great food and service. Dog friendly even when she was soaking wet.

Lovely old fashioned hotel in rutland. Beautifully decorated bar with selection of local beers and very and hospitable staff. Nice comfortable accommodation and a really nice breakfast. A excellent overall experience

The food for a music evening was very poor. Very small one course. What makes things inexcusable in this pub is the attitude of the hostess. I wonder why she does this job if she isn’t prepared to be pleasant to people.
