"The food is good… but the food only arrives after asking multiple people multiple times what is happening, and even then it’s still a battle to get service!I sit writing review whilst waiting for my children’s desserts! The adults deserts came out half an hour ago, but we are still waiting for children’s ice cream and cups of f tea! We went out for a family meal, 4 adults and 2 children. We were asked if we wanted table service or to use the app. We opted for table service. The waitress came and took our order around 3:30pm. By 4:00 we still hadn’t received our drinks or meals. We asked the waitress, who rudely asked if we’d been to the bar to pay. We didn’t realise that was required, so went to the bar and paid. Drinks then arrived, but it took another half hour and asking staff twice where our food was.We finished our meals quickly, as we were starving by this point. I went to ask for a dessert menu, as we weren’t offered one, we then had to find a waitress to take the order. We asked for all desserts and 3 cups of tea to come out together. The adults desserts came out quickly, but the kids desserts and tea didn’t come out. We asked 3 members of staff where these were and they eventually came out, after we asked to see the manager, almost 40 minutes after the adults had finished. From the moment arrived it felt like we were chasing up everything. Nobody came to check out meals were ok, or offer more drinks etc. The food was actually quite good however we were so hungry that anything would have tasted good. The only food I didn’t think was very good was the chocolate brownie which was like a large slab of chocolate sponge cake, and not brownie like at all. We won’t be coming back for a while 2.5 hours to be served 2 courses is not acceptable!"

The breakfast at this restaurant is always delightful, with very friendly staff and a clean environment. The pricing is just right - not too cheap and not too expensive.

We had our dog with us so sat outside by the dog watering station! Staff couldn’t have been more helpful- ordered via the app and thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the excellent service!

I had a few meals at this restaurant over the weekend. The food was delicious and served in generous portions. The staff were very friendly and the prices were reasonable. Overall, great value for money.

We have dined at this restaurant twice in the past few weeks and enjoyed the good food and service each time. I would suggest using the app for ordering to avoid the inconvenience of having to get up and pay at the bar. However, it should be noted that the restaurant is clean but could use some renovations as it appears quite dated.

Called whilst visiting the area so never been before . Was seated by a friendly blonde lady so a good start . Menu looked good but when we went to order people pushing in queue. Maybe need separate queue for food and one if you only want drinks as one particular lady seemed to think was ok to push in as just wanted drinks and person serving just allowed this to happen . Was then told an hour wait for food unsure why as didn’t look particularly busy and number of things missing from menu . Didn’t want to wait an hour so chose the carvery . We had been to the nearby boot sale and were exhausted and in need of a Sunday roast, we were staying at the nearby Travelodge so really wanted somewhere close by. As it was about 12.45 on a Sunday we expected that it would be full, but luckily the lady on reception said that they had a cancellation, so we were delighted to be given a lovely big table by the window. Great friendly front of house staff, we was greeted by a woman named Kelly, and waited on by the lovely Chelsea both ladies polite and friendly. We we're served by a gent at the bar who was very clear reading back the order and a different gent brought us our drinks, he was friendly and professional placing the drinks on the table both gents provided fantastic service. The 3 of us went for a lunchtime carvery. After ordering our drinks, the waitress return and said that our chosen beer was not available but they did have John Smiths ? John Smith 's in a Greene King Pub). We decided to have lager, only for the waitress to return again to inform us that the chosen lager was also not available.
