"A group of 10 longtime friends recently dined at the Butler's Arms and had a fantastic evening. We started off with drinks and were impressed by the selection of wine and real ale. Our table was ready on time and there was no pressure to order quickly. The menu was extensive, with all main dishes at a standard price on certain weekdays. Everyone agreed that the food was delicious, generous portions, and well-prepared. The staff was friendly and efficient. Special thanks to Tom, Molly, and Dan for making our evening very enjoyable."

"The Plough offers some of the best pub food in the area at a reasonable price. The menu was full of tempting options like Char Sui Pork Cheeks and Beef Feather Blade, making it hard to choose. I ended up going with the Beef and was happy with my decision. The service was friendly and efficient, and there was a good selection of ales at the bar, including the local favorite Holden's Golden Glow. My only complaint is that the interior of the restaurant has been heavily modernized, giving it more of a contemporary restaurant vibe than a traditional pub feel. Overall, a great meal but lacking the traditional pub atmosphere I prefer."

"You really can 't go wrong with crepes. They 're a fairly neutral taste and you just order the food you really like and that 's it. You get handed a little packet of gastronomic delight. Your favourite food, put in a little servíng device. Mine was a sweet one, all maple y and sugary. Could just as easily have been eggs and bacon, which I 'm sure would have been just as delicious. However, the genius move here is the serving hatch. They didn 't seem to have it open when I was there (It was fairly windy mind) but it must make them a fortune. You see, in people 's minds there 's a commitment, a positive action and a whole sequence of etiquette when you walk into a restaurant. It 's not often an impulse action. There must have been thousands of folk who Nearly bought a crepe, but couldn 't be bothered with the whole restaurant thing. But with a hatch, it 's like buying a Twix from the corner shop. Walking round the village, brain says Blood glucose a bit low........Sugar and carbs over there and you say a few words to the lass stood in the window and in two minutes you have the answer to all your problems in your hand Easy,.........And wonderful!!!"

"Disgusted with the service received. The 1/5 extremely poor hygiene review is accurate. New management please? The lamb shank was phallic shaped (comical like the customer service) and was definitely from a boil in the bag!! The starter was clearly forgotten about while being deep...fried in last weeks oil, no wonder we were ill. Do not venture into this establishment (if you can call it that) unless you want to lose a few pounds by firing from both ends. The management should change vocation before it’s too late, their attitude towards customers is appalling and watching them talk to the locals with little respect, and that’s just the management. The ‘common’ staff have little respect for new customers. Will avoid recommending, I’d even say warn people off. This has been added to group Facebook pages so please share, these inexperienced jokers shouldn’t be running a pub."
