"We reserved a table for four at 8:00 PM and arrived 10 minutes early. Upon arrival, we were informed that our table wasn’t quite ready and were asked to wait at the bar with a drink until it was prepared. After waiting for 15 minutes, we checked with the manager about our table, and he told us it would be ready in a few minutes. Another 10 minutes passed, and we approached him again, only to hear that he couldn't do anything to expedite the situation since the guests at our table hadn’t finished. He was quite rude and did not apologize for the delay. At 8:25 PM, after waiting long enough, we decided to leave, and suddenly our table was ready. Once seated, we were asked if we wanted more drinks, and then our order was taken. However, no offer was made for a complimentary round of drinks to make up for the inconvenience. Our appetizers arrived within 20 minutes, immediately followed by our main courses. Three of us ordered steaks, which were bland and the peppercorn sauce lacked any actual peppercorns. When the staff checked in with us about the meal, we mentioned the flavorless steaks and sauce, only to be met with a rude response saying that we should have brought it up earlier. The young lady who presented us with the bill was very polite and friendly, and the manager could learn a thing or two from her. Overall, we were dissatisfied with the service and food, and we will not be returning to this restaurant."

"A group of 10 longtime friends recently dined at the Butler's Arms and had a fantastic evening. We started off with drinks and were impressed by the selection of wine and real ale. Our table was ready on time and there was no pressure to order quickly. The menu was extensive, with all main dishes at a standard price on certain weekdays. Everyone agreed that the food was delicious, generous portions, and well-prepared. The staff was friendly and efficient. Special thanks to Tom, Molly, and Dan for making our evening very enjoyable."

"We visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening, right after they had refurbished the playground. At first glance, I wasn't particularly impressed by the menu, but since it was getting late for the kids to eat, we decided to go for it. Fortunately, we were delighted with our choices! The food was fantastic—our orders included steak, lasagna, and two children's meals with nuggets and sausages. The steak was cooked perfectly to our liking, and my lasagna was incredible—homemade and the best I've ever had in a pub, with generous portions all around. There were no pre-packaged meals in sight either. All the staff were really friendly, the meals arrived quickly, and the service was excellent. It was definitely good value for money. The only downside was that there wasn't easy access to the playground directly from the pub. Overall, we look forward to returning!"

"You really can 't go wrong with crepes. They 're a fairly neutral taste and you just order the food you really like and that 's it. You get handed a little packet of gastronomic delight. Your favourite food, put in a little servíng device. Mine was a sweet one, all maple y and sugary. Could just as easily have been eggs and bacon, which I 'm sure would have been just as delicious. However, the genius move here is the serving hatch. They didn 't seem to have it open when I was there (It was fairly windy mind) but it must make them a fortune. You see, in people 's minds there 's a commitment, a positive action and a whole sequence of etiquette when you walk into a restaurant. It 's not often an impulse action. There must have been thousands of folk who Nearly bought a crepe, but couldn 't be bothered with the whole restaurant thing. But with a hatch, it 's like buying a Twix from the corner shop. Walking round the village, brain says Blood glucose a bit low........Sugar and carbs over there and you say a few words to the lass stood in the window and in two minutes you have the answer to all your problems in your hand Easy,.........And wonderful!!!"
