A very Atmospheric building!.. Amazing food and the best staff ever! If you like Haunted buildings then this place is a must and thoroughly recommend a stay over!

Unique experience with amazing food. We enjoyed dining next to an haunted doll! The food was excellent and afterwards we went home and watched several episodes of My haunted hotel. We will definitely be back. 100% recommend.

The food here is excellant, really good sized quantities and very good quality. I had the gammon with real chips , the gammon was quite thick and moist, probably the best I have ever had in a pub. Great pub food, attentive staff! Didn't need to wait long at all to be served even though it was fairly busy. Stopped by one night for food and again for the haunted experience. Even if you're not staying at the hotel, you can see haunted artifacts in the pub. I recommend the burger or the mushroom side dish. Scrumptious!

What an amazing Sunday roast. Everything about this place was top notch from The moment I walked through the door. The staff behind the bar couldn’t of been more he if they tried. The food was probably one of the best Sunday Roasts I’ve had. I loved the old school feeling inside the bar area. My second visit here. Hopefully many more to come

What lovely staff 2 ladies on Friday night the 29th from Liverpool they were just excellent what most other people in hospitality are not they were personable chatty spoken to everyone when the bar was quiet it was clear they have pride in what they are doing this is what every pub should aspire to of I had my own pub I would employ them in a heartbeat they are a credit to the industry and made a lovely night even more magical what a lovely cosy pub

Great fun taking US family to a pub built before their country. In fact just 2 years after the mayflower. Strange to think troops in the English civil war may have sunk pints here !!!!! Good friendly service all the way through. Well done team. Beers were great my blonde IPA Was tasty. Son liked his lager. Neck oil went down well with US Uncle. Food portions were generous. Beef roast was great. Meat a little tough. But excellent veg yorkshire pud. Wife’s fish chips were huge. Tried a couple of those. One of our party has an excellent pie. Couldn’t manage pudding !! Good meal out.

Went to Kings Head on 30th May 23 with my mum and had a great time. The staff are super friendly, the pub atmosphere is nice, not too loud so you can hear whoever you are with speak. The fire wasn’t on when we went in but the weather was warm so no need for the fire. The inside of the pub is nice, great decor. For starters, we had the sharing Nachos which were nice and for main, I had the fish n chips which was AMAZING! My mum had the beef stew which she loved, proper big piece of decent beef also. Highly recommend this pub, please note the staff can’t accept tip when paying by card. Felt so bad not having cash on us as the service was brilliant. X Speisekarte ansehen
