"It's a small tiny place, more likely to grab some good sushi and take away. Quality is very good (I am travelling often to Asia and eating there real genuine sushi). Ingredients are fresh, good quality and prepared with care. Generally speaking, sushi in San Sebastian is a bit overpriced, this place is not an exception. There has been a boom of this kind of in the latest years, and these places, know how to make the most of it. SUMO is one of the first sushi places I remember, opened in SS. Summing up: good quality, portions correct/regular for a sushi place, staff very friendly and helpful, very convenient location in SS downtown. A place were I go, when I feel the whim for some sushi and want to take it away. Highly recommend!"

"Fuimos con toda la family esta semana porque es un sitio super bien puntuado. Intentamos reservar por Internet y a pesar de que el sistema nos denegó la reserva por falta de repuesta, fueron muy agradables y nos prepararon una mesa para 8. La verdad es que el servicio fue super profesional y aunque la comida tardó bastante, mereció la pena. Estaba todo muy bien. Comenzando por el jamón ibérico bien sudadito y sabroso. Como platos pedimos varios para probar y yo destacaría el pichón que era una pasada, con las verduras cocinadas fantásticamente con su salsita. El mi cuit de foie gras con alubias también era sublime. El tapen negro muy sabroso. Quizás el punto negativo es que había muy poco acompañamiento lo que echamos todos en falta. El arroz bastante sosete, quizás algo a mejorar claramente. Sino para terminar la torrija era brutal. Un 10. Quizas en el global diría que era un pelón caro."

"Estuve cenando hace dos días. Aún tenía el recuerdo de una comida maravillosa de hace unos años. Esta vez no fue así. Pedimos un entrante a compartir y luego un plato cada uno pues era cena. El entrante muy regulero era una ensalada escasa y nada destacable más que su precio. En cuanto a los segundos mi marido pidió merluza y Le dijeron que no había.... En San Sebastián un martes? Yo por mi parte pedí un atún en el que no aparecían más que nervios.... Ya no nos atrevimos con el postre. El sitio es muy bonito y el ambiente acojedor pero no todo es eso"

"Excellent product and careful elaboration. The presentation is also very good, and the service a 10. The dessert presentation is spectacular! Just to make a point, and it was circumstantial, is that when we went there right next to us there was a table with six or seven little creatures, and they were obviously chatting. I know that in this restaurant they accept quixalla, but when you go to enjoy the food it is not pleasant to come across this. In my case, it was when we were already finishing the second course that the occupants of this table entered, so it didn't affect us either, if it had been from the beginning we might not have stayed."

"Comí aquí anteayer con 2 personas. Bonita tienda de campaña a las afueras de las concurridas calles turísticas. El interior también estaba muy bien decorado y la señora hablaba muy bien inglés. Aquí comimos un sándwich de jamón ibérico y un batido tropical. El sándwich y el jamón estaban muy sabrosos y el batido también estaba recién hecho. Todo muy rico y el precio era razonable. ¡Muy recomendable!"
