"I recently moved to bookham, and today I and a friend have decided to try carolina as it had very good reviews. we were not disappointed, the staff are beautiful, polite, chatty and so helpful the little garden on the back is so beautiful: we enjoyed a nice lunch. I had a latte and a cajun chicken sluice with an salad fresh and tasty and some amazing carrot cake my friend had the smoked salmon bag and then the **** with sawn and jam and a pot tee. it was beautifully presented and so well costed. we spent a nice afternoon and this will be a popular place from now on. many thanks to x hasten"

"the restaurant was not used as a private function took place. a makeshift in a very empty and boring space was built with 4 tables. the chairs were uncomfortable and the basic equipment of the tables uninviting. the window and side door to the garden were left open and a children's type party with bouncy closed was right outside so that the noise level was intensive. there was no ambiente with strong lighting and no flower plants or effort made to make it similar to a restaurant. eating was ok, but no presentation and no sauce was served with a very dry salmon fillet. at a price of almost £100 with wine it was an expensive dinner. we had no appetizers and only one dessert. total a very unromantic and disappointing evening at what was the beginning of our holiday"

"Another visit to Arto with my better half for our anniversary on Tuesday night. It was quiet as you would expect, three or four tables taken. Nice atmosphere with the boss man in attendance and the food was better than ever. You cannot go wrong in Arto, with home made food that is so much nicer than the other other offerings these days. "on a very rainy afternoon we arrived in dorking and went to the next caffe to escape the weather. mullins coffee shop. we received a very cordial greeting by the owner of the dame and the guy who served us, many choices thrown into the menu with some specials. we chose sandwiches and a hot panini both came with an salate and we had a pot tee for 2 in bone china teetassen. our eating was delicious and plentiful, the prices reasonable, the caffe is very well decorated and has a beautiful ambiente. x"

"Not sure why it's still table service only for just drinks and it took ages to come despite the plethora of earnest young waiting staff. Accept prices are high for the amazing view but not being given a notice about tipping as well just for drinks; the girl hung around expectantly. And my husband said the beer was hazy, not bad enough to return but he didn't finish it. We've been visiting the pub for 45 years and still only one ladies toilet for the number of visitors. We had thought of returning for a meal but weren't impressed enough."
