"Piccola osteria storica che dal 1957 porta avanti la tradizione in cucina. Il servizio è stato impeccabile, soprattutto nella spiegazione dei piatti. Entrambi abbiamo ordinato lo stinco di maiale di Saint’Oyén glassato alla birra scura accompagnato da crauti di cavolo e crema di cachi Davvero eccezionale, la carne era tenerissima, la crema di cachi era un perfetto abbinamento ed i crauti non avevano un sapore forte di aceto. Abbiamo concluso scegliendo come dolce I Nostri Must: Delizia di Panna alla Cannella e Liquirizia; Armonia di Cioccolato, Caffè e Genepì; Zabaione al Pierrots Siamo rimasti davvero senza parole di quanto fosse buonissimo quello centrale. Dal mio punto di vista, avrei preferito trovare più scelta di primi e di secondi incentrati sui prodotti locali perché non sono un'amante del salmerino e del pesce di lago in generale quindi mi sono trovata costretta ad ordinare lo stinco che si è rivelato davvero un ottimo piatto!"

"Came on the recommendation of our hotel and very mixed experience. Without a doubt the food was good. Without a doubt the view would have been great but only for the tables on the edge of the terrace otherwise all you see are the flowers and the blue plastic lining sheet but it was night time anyway. The actual decor is very minimal. We did not have the warmest of initial contact, a lack of eye contact or smile, which was a shame as I got the sense that it might not always be that way. It is popular and it was very busy even though it was early and midweek and out of town. Two things that were off putting were the midges that kept biting my wife, and the bins that were collected twice directly under the terrace as we ate."

"I press that I am not vegan and so this rating might not be entirely reliable for those looking for a vegan restaurant. the restaurant is certainly of quality and you can see, the raw materials, the offer and the presentation of the dishes are proof. to open up to the public and not make this place a “ghetto” for vegans would be nice to expand the offers of traditional dishes (if vegan) for those who like me end up eating here in the company of other people. This could also help you approach those like me in this world, but if you don't like legumes or have some intolerance to vegetables you may have to eat only a vegan burger as the only choice available. "In compagnia di amici, che già conoscevano il ristorante, abbiamo prenotato per la cena sabato sera. Il locale si trova in centro, nella zona pedonale ed è accessibile, dopo avere parcheggiato l'auto, in pochi passi a piedi. Accoglienza, controllo green pass ed accomodamento immediato e gentile. Ci hanno subito servito acqua e raccolto la comanda: vassoio di delizie valdostane (salumi/formaggi), lardo con castagne al genepy, poi riso con toma, pere e noci, filetti di spigola, cotoletta valdostana, fonduta. Infine macedonia di frutta. Tutti i piatti sono presentati con buona attenzione e grande qualità dei prodotti utilizzati, ottimi i gusti e delicati gli abbinamenti. I prezzi sono economici soprattutto correlati alla qualità delle materie utilizzate. Molto consigliato previa prenotazione !"

"Locale abbastanza piccolino, molto “rustico” e in linea con quello che ci si aspetta da un locale che fa hamburger. Il menu è molto vasto, pieno di panini diversi (alcuni veramente grossi), stuzzichini americaneggianti, alcune carni e sfiziositá. Pur avendo tante proposte non finiscono con il fare tutto male, anzi si concentrano su uno stile e spaziano ampiamente su quello. Tra l’altro ci sono panini con hamburger di cinghiale, cervo, STRUZZO e tanti altre particolarità. Il personale è gentile, veloce e professionale! Grandissimi! Anche il costo non è assolutamente sproporzionato, noi in 4 , con aperitivi, birre medie alla spine e hamburger (grandi) abbiamo pagato poco meno di 100€ . Se fossi della zona, sicuramente questo locale sarebbe una mia frequentazione costante."

"Day trip to Aosta with friends and we fancied pizza. We stumbled across this place down a side street off the main shopping street. They have an extensive choice of pizzas so in we went. However we all choose the menu turistico as it was...also very Italian and a bargain at €18 for 3 courses. The gnocchi was tasty and so was the pork milanese and the chicken massala. My friend is vegetarian and she got 2 side dishes : 1 carrots and 1 spinach (which we had wt our main course too). Very odd but she didn't mind. The desserts however let this place completely down! Dry chocolate cake, cheap tasteless strawberry mousse and a curdled tasteless creme caramel. The menu also included a drinkable glass of red or white plonk All in all an ok experience but wouldn't go back and try elsewhere instead. Friendly service too."

"Ho letto un po di recensioni e mi dispiace vedere anche recensioni negative, per questo voglio dire la mia. Arriviamo in locale e veniamo subito accolti da un bel sorriso e tanta gentilezza, decidiamo di rimanere all'interno per evitare aria e afa dell'esterno, sala oltretutto molto curata. Ordino un menù del giorno e un primo separato: 1 gnocco viola al Blu di Aosta x lei; 1 raviolo con porchetta e ricotta al burro e salvia 1 carbonade con polenta 1 tortino al cuore caldo con gelato x me. Ebbene: In questa piccola vacanza ad Aosta abbiamo mangiato in molti posti ma questo ci ha veramente stupito nel rapporto qualità prezzo, il raviolo era ben cotto con un ripieno gustoso, burro di prima qualità e salvia fresca. La carbonade, che scopro grazie alla gentilezza della ragazza che ci serviva i piatti essere uno spezzatino, era talmente buono che la carne si scioglieva in bocca, gustosa anche la polenta di ottima farina. Per finire in bellezza un ottimo tortino con cioccolato fuso caldo all'interno servito con gelato, veramente ottimo. Per quanto riguarda lo gnocco era cotto alla perfezione e la pasta era fresca, ottimo il formaggio. Le foto non bastano a giudicare l'alta qualità di questi piatti, ma le metto per dare un'idea. Pagato 43 euro, nella norma per essere nel cuore di Aosta ma la qualità è molto superiore ad altri ristoranti che ho provato nei giorni scorsi, dove ho speso uguale ma ho mangiato meno e peggio. Concludo ringraziando la ragazza che ci ha serviti addirittura versandoci acqua e bibita nel bicchiere, di una squisita gentilezza, e facendo un plauso alla cucina impeccabile e che utilizza materie di prima qualità, alla prossima vacanza torneremo sicuramente. Buona giornata."

"Ristorante molto carino a metà strada tra Porta Pretoria e Piazza Chanoux. Atmosfera calda, staff preparato, menù notevole e prezzi ragionevoli. Noi abbiamo preso un tagliere da dividere, due primi, un calice di vino e caffè. Tutto davvero ottimo. Soprattutto le tagliatelle al ragù di cinghiale prese dal mio compagno erano da iperspazio. Ci siamo trovati talmente bene che il giorno dopo abbiamo deciso di tornare. Peccato che fosse lunedì, ed evidentemente il lunedì la Valle d'Aosta si ferma, perché non solo era chiuso questo ristorante, era chiuso quasi tutto! Peccato. Ciò non toglie che il ristorante è OTTIMO e merita assolutamente di essere visitato. Solamente, tenete presente che il lunedì probabilmente è chiuso. Consigliatissssssssssimo!"

"We entered via the entrance on the Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII, went down a small flight of stairs into a bar area and were surprised to see a large and very popular outside garden seating area. Firstly ordered a couple of Spritz (EUR5-00 each) and an aperitivo platter of Il Taliere Valdostano (basically several different types of salami, cold meats and cheeses) for EUR12-00. Very ordinary platter for the money. One of the meats and one of the cheeses were not to our liking at all. The setting though was so good that we decided to stay for a couple of glasses of white wine. This was an expensive waste of time as I guarantee that we would have got more wine in our glasses if the waiter had used a spirits nip measure. Service was also extremely slow however it was busy."
