"My previous experience dining at Tana Thai was nothing short of faultless and second to none in both service and the quality of authentic Thai food served. So I had high expectations for my second visit and was not left disappointed. We ordered the Thai experience for 2 for £27, which in my opinion was excellent value for money. The staff once again were welcoming and accomodating ensuring we had an enjoyable and pleasant dining experience. Tana Thai manages to deliver a varied menu with generous portion sizes. If your looking for authentic Thai flavours with subtle flavour combinations of hot, spicy, sweet, and sour then Thana Thai gets a A+ from me every time. We will definitely back in the future. My friend and I dined at Tana Thai for the first time tonight, we were not disappointed. We have dined at other Thai restaurants in Bedford and would certainly place Tana Thai along side the best of them for flavour and authenticity. The service from the staff was both friendly and prompt. The mixed starter for two was filling and tasty, with the Thai spring rolls certainly being the star of the show. We ordered beef in black bean sauce with egg fried rice and a mixed seafood pad thai. The beef was succulent and tender and the seafood was cooked perfectly with a mixture of crushed nuts on the side for texture. An excellent meal and excellent service, thank you."

"Reminiscing about the great time we had at this place last night! We spent the weekend in Bedford visiting relatives and decided to book this place, because we’re big pizza fiends and the reviews meant it made sense! Have not stopped thinking about the food all day! If you’re lucky enough to know what a proper Neapolitan pizza tastes like and have been chasing the dream of tasting it again… look no further! If you haven’t been to Naples before, then this place takes you there and back in one evening! This is hands down the best pizza outside of Naples! In fact I would go as far as to say that it could easily hold its own amongst the 100s of pizzerias in its birth City! The restaurant itself is casually quirky… named after the owner’s mother, with photos to couple that offer a little glimpse into the owners background with Italian memorabilia for days… including a real vesper hanging on a shelf from the ceiling, you’re hit with the scent of the wood fired oven as soon as you walk through the doors letting you know instantly that you’re in for a treat… the real deal! The relaxed, but upbeat vibe coupled with the warm and attentive welcome and service from the owner and the staff meant it was only fair to start with a round of Aperol Spritzes, which was followed by a number of bottles of delicious Primitivo throughout the meal that ultimately led to some singing and dancing at the end of our meal! We allowed the owner to recommend lots of things off the menu to share and boy did he not disappoint! Everything from pizzas, to pizza rolls to bruschetta meant that we were all able to try the classic Neapolitan pizza base with various different flavours! Highly recommend trying the Pizza Tartufo if you like truffle! I’m Italian and visit Naples most years and the pizza base is up there with the best I’ve tried! Hats off to the pizzaiolas as mastering this culinary delight is not easy! The pork meatballs in tomato sauce and oven roasted cracked pepper and salty ribs were delicious! But aside from the extremely high quality of the pizzas it was a bowl full of cheese and charcuterie that stole the show! Imagine a huge ball of creamy burrata that when cut open released loads of tiny balls of morzarella! It was truly next level! I have never seen or tasted anything quite like it! We finished with a round of espressos and some traditional Italian pastries, which were out of this world! We had such a lovely evening from the food to the wine, service to the vibe it really was exceptional! The only thing I wasn’t happy about was leaving, knowing that this restaurant isn’t on my doorstep! The only saving grace is the avoided damage it would do to my waistline if it was, as I would be here every weekend! Cannot wait to go back!"

"My partner and I visited this beloved spot two days ago and enjoyed one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Right after we were seated, we were pleasantly surprised with complimentary bread and tzatziki—a lovely touch. We started with the continental meat platter to share, which we requested to be gluten-free because my partner is coeliac. They happily accommodated us with gluten-free bread, and the platter was delightful, featuring parma ham, chorizo, Milano salami, grilled aubergines, mozzarella balls, and mixed olives with chillies. It was a fun challenge to combine all those varied flavors and textures in each bite! For my main course, I ordered the fillet of sea bass, served with tomato and mango chutney, a seared lemon wedge, and dauphinoise potatoes. The sea bass had a wonderfully crispy skin, and the fish itself was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My partner opted for the Woburn estate venison, accompanied by dauphinoise potatoes, pak choi, and a port and berry jus. The venison was rich and tender, with the sweet acidity of the jus enhancing the meat’s earthy flavors in a way we had never thought possible. I also wouldn’t have imagined pairing pak choi with a traditional dish like venison, but it worked beautifully. The dauphinoise potatoes, seasoned with mild cheddar and thyme, were simply divine. For dessert, I tried the cheesecake (which the menu claims is gluten-free by default—can we confirm that?), while my partner enjoyed the artisan four-cheese platter, complete with celery, grapes, chutney, toasted gluten-free bread, and sliced apple. They certainly covered all the bases there. To wrap up the evening, my good friend Mat Roberts serenaded us outside with his unique style of live music, and the general manager even joined in the fun, dancing with patrons, which was fantastic to see. In summary, The Bedford Arms has successfully revitalized itself as a vibrant dining destination in Oakley, operating at full capacity. They boast talented chefs, attentive service, a diverse selection of wines and spirits, locally brewed ales, excellent live music, and they are officially coeliac-friendly. We’ll definitely be returning soon, and we plan to bring the whole family! Vegetarian options: A variety of vegetarian choices available. Dietary restrictions: Able to cater to coeliac, vegetarian, and vegan diets. Parking: Car park available outside the pub, plus on-street parking. Price per person: £40-50 Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Recommended dishes: Fish and Chips, Seared Gressingham Duck Breast Parking: Plenty of parking available, with free options in the lot and on the street."

"This wasn 't my first time dining at 'The Pantry ' so my expectations were high after previous postive experiences with their service and food, however this is my first review of this friendly and well known Bedford Italian eatery. On arrival we were given a warm welcome by the front of house staff and were shown to our table promptly. There was certainly plenty of space between tables which in my opinion certainly made it covid friendly. The informal, warm and relaxed atmosphere certainly encourages a postive and enjoyable dining experience also. We ordered six tapas dishes off of the tapas menu which were delicious, freshly cooked and vibrant. I would certainly recommend you try the sautéed King Prawns and the Whitebait which were very moreish!! For my main course I ordered the Pasta Cozze which was spaghetti with mussels cooked in a white wine sauce with cherry tomatoes. All my mussels were prepared, and cooked beautifully. The spaghetti was perfectly al-dente which I prefer, and in my opinion is just how it should be cooked. My wife ordered the chicken cutlet with fries and salad which she enjoyed. The bread crumb coating covering the chicken wasn 't soaked in oil but delightfully golden brown and crispy. We also sampled the lobster ravioli which was cooked to perfection along with a homemade pizza which my son really enjoyed. It has been a while since we had previously dined at the pantry, but I can honestly say in my opinion the service and food has remained excellent. Thank you for an excellent lunch, and we will certainly return again soon."
