"we sat outside in one of the covered cabins, which was very cozy and enjoyable, as it was strongly raining! for the first hour or so, when we were the only ones out there, it felt a bit lonely and quiet. when the others joined, it felt like it had more atmosphere. we ordered the roast beef, which was average. the yorkshire pudding was quite stable and dry, and parts of the bark were quite fat, which was a canvas as we had a few weeks before and the bark was incredible. the sweet was a bowl of boiled, carrots and carrots, which was in order, and could perhaps be a personal choice, but I hate carrots on a brat! the cauliflower cheese we ordered separately, however, was incredible. we have ordered 3 bottles of rose wine, which, although beautiful, we felt something overpriced. this was the cheapest bottle of rose blood at £23 a bottle! it would be nice if there were more options to choose from. overall the place is great, and the personal was always friendly, just a little on the food and the price of certain items to this occasion. but still we will come back!"

only live 5 minutes from the George... should go more often.. the service really was very good and the pub has a lovely 'feel '... highly recommended

This was a lovely venue for Sunday lunch after a long walk. Service was good, tables nicely spaced so did not feel cramped in but above all the food was excellent, my roast beef was perfectly cooked. Overall will be visiting again.

The food was excellent and so was the service. So pleased when told the steak ake pie was a real pie and not a pot of boiling gravy with a pastry biscuit on top. Will certainly return for anothe pie with Tiramisu to follow Well done to the Chef and all the staff

Probably the best Sunday roast we’ve had in a long time!! Perfectly cooked meat, roast potatoes and fresh vegetables. Yummy gravy. One of us had the pie and mash which was also delicious. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The place was buzzing and we can see why! Well done, we will be back!

I am a frequent visitor to The George Inn and always enjoy my visits without ever being disappointed. The location is beautiful, the atmosphere is pleasant, the food is delicious, the service is good, and there is occasionally live entertainment. The prices are fair considering all these factors.
