"Been here twice this week as up in Northumberland on holiday. We were a group of four and all of us loved the food- three courses each on both occasions. Great value, friendly staff and amazing food. Don't be put up by the appearance of the building (looks a bit tatty from outside) as the quality of food and decor inside makes up for it. Will definitely visit on my next trip to the area."

"Lovely staff, and excellent food, we were all made to feel welcome. We took our 2 kids who where made very welcome we had curry of the day, and kids had spaghetti Bol, and chicken nuggets and we all had dessert, it was all home cooked, compliments to the chef. The pub had been freshly painted and was nice and cosy."

""This restaurant serves the best burger and fries in England, despite the unattractive presentation. The burgers are made with real minced meat and topped with plenty of cheese and onion rings. The French fries are crispy and delicious. Our group also tried the chicken burger, which was equally delicious. The food arrived quickly at our table, and the service was excellent. The restaurant is conveniently located right next to the A1 highway. We only stopped in for a quick bite to eat and some leg stretching, but we were impressed with the quality of the food. Overall, we would give this place a 5-star rating for service.""
