Good halfway mark between Newcastle Edinburgh, however toilets are always cold, hand dryer is very cold, don't do dairy free alternatives. Service: 4 Location: 5

Rooms were clean and well serviced,Food was great so were the staff who were also very helpful. It was great place to stop as we were touring it was mid way between Bambrugh Castle and Alnwick Castle on the Northumberland coast. Stopped for food at bar and grill and the meal was one of the best we have had the prawn cocktail was so creamy and steak pie chips and veg were cooked to perfection and plenty meat in pie ,my husband said his steak was also one of the better ones he has had defo be going again thankyou for a lovely meal and very resnable priced

"This restaurant serves the best burger and fries in England, despite the unattractive presentation. The burgers are made with real minced meat and topped with plenty of cheese and onion rings. The French fries are crispy and delicious. Our group also tried the chicken burger, which was equally delicious. The food arrived quickly at our table, and the service was excellent. The restaurant is conveniently located right next to the A1 highway. We only stopped in for a quick bite to eat and some leg stretching, but we were impressed with the quality of the food.
