"Today ki cuisine inspires has a special review to do in como burger. Why is it particular? because I rarely give full excellence. We assume that I rarely give excellence to a local, you want because in my opinion something has always improved, or you want to avoid the refreshing ones cradle on the laurels. but we leave for this journey! I noticed the advertisement of this place that proposed gourmet burgers so, curious I went immediately. the location is really suggestive and perfect, immersed in the middle of the cervib, in a square with a very strong passage, inside an ancient building characteristic with wide possibility of parking in the surroundings the place has its own character well defined, a mix between a modern classic and an industrial with rustic details, make the atmosphere very cozy and warm, the outside amazes because the tables are immersed in the green in a beautiful garden very well maintained. he greeted us the owner, as a real guest, hearing him speak, perceives the passion he puts in what he does. He sits down and then an employee comes to explain his dishes. My astonishment was in hearing in his words, passion and safety in what he proposed to a worker. the sandwiches are very well studied, balanced combinations, raw materials are at km 0 and of excellent quality. the pieces are made with an added fat of 20.% of weight of about 100 150g cad, the sandwiches instead are very well made, some studied in color with the addition of spirulina algae or vegetable charcoal and are made by a nearby bakery. in short, it is a place that keeps the local economy very while maintaining good prices. the dishes take the name of the villages of the lake as to omaggiarli, denotes a great love for its territory and all this is perceived. If I have to make a criticism, it would be nice that the same place would honor its local suppliers and that they themselves did the same, it would be an added value. In addition to the menu sandwiches, there are strangers that the chef proposes, with very well-designed and bilancaiti combinations, however not aside, I preferred to eat a baked sandwich but at the same time I brought one of the famous list. I tell you to do...the baked sandwich was the apotheosis of the flavor, the patty cooked perfectly, wrapped with cooked peppers, slightly spicy that they married well with gorgonzola cheese, all accompanied by a homemade sauce. the list was instead constituted by a tartare of meat, marinated with a fantastic oil, accompanied by sauce and wise cheese decided that perfectly exalted the goto. the selection of beers then is wide, both in the bottles and in the plug. the surprise I had at the time of the account. and this really does this place, a strong point. the prices are very low compared to the proposed quality, because when choosing the local products it is inevitable that the price is higher, but the surprise was when I made present to the restaurateur who answered me so I want people to eat well, spend the right, I don't care about the simple gain, I would like people to remind us and come home with a piece of como in the heart' to my modest opinion, there are many lesser, a little pro. and I recommend it. I'm sure the discount will be. Sure. ."

"Last night we dined at Veranda (also at Villa D’Este) which was exquisite. Their less formal Ristorante Grill, where we dined tonight, was a revelation. 1st Maitre ‘D Rodio Massimiliano’s warm welcome was a precursor for the culinary excellence with service to match, which followed. Informal doesn’t mean that standards are below those at Veranda...not at all! The cooking at Ristorante Grill is first class and the dishes are all beautifully presented. Our evening had started with drinks on Villa D’Este’s gorgeous terrace, with their resident pianist adding to the atmosphere of this world class hotel. The Grill then proceeded to exceed all expectations. I’m rarely so impressed...the restaurants and service at Villa D’Este really do achieve perfection. This brilliantly managed hotel have the most amazing staff throughout. Not only The Grill but the entire property is ‘state of the art’ world class, ultra professional hospitality...with a welcoming smile. We ended our evening at the hotel’s superb bar entertained by a trio of musicians who certainly complemented the wonderful dining experience. Sadly, I usually notice every error in every hotel and restaurant I visit...and very rarely do I find perfection. Tonight, I found it. Every member of staff excels. It is amazing to behold. The Grille, along with the entire property, is a temple of excellence and for management to achieve this level of hospitality is no mean feat. I’ve visited most of the top hotels in France and Italy. Villa D’este is the very best there is and I find it incomparable. The elegant guests compliment the restaurants and the entire property. Observing the staff in the restaurants and bars is the equivalent of enjoying truly well rehearsed theatre. An extraordinary property."
