"Arrived to one other customer in the shop (Sunday night, 7pm) and three staff behind the counter, totally ignored for a good five minutes like they were rushed off their feet. Eventually served by a very young lad whilst the manager just watched. Spent £25.00 on food, then remembered I forgot to order chips and curry sauce for my son. Ordered and went to pay the £4.20 served by the manager (so it said on the back of her tee shirt) and asked for an extra 50p to cover card charges as my order was below £5.00. Explained I’d just paid £25 for food and she shrugged, said sorry and walked away. What great customer services from a Manager, then topped off with mediocre cold food !!!"

"Absolutely deplorable experience where a member of staff tried to charge me too much for my food. I corrected him for him to retort with “don’t raise your f ing voice at me next time” to which I tried to explain the maths of £2 plus £6 is £8. He got angry and instructed security to throw me out where upon walking out with me, they apologised for him and his attitude as he has “been like it all night”. Avoid at all costs as the small, numerically challenged “man” is a little vicious."

"The restaurant had a beautiful design and the cocktails, which were 2 for 1, were delicious and reasonably priced. The only issue was that out of our group of 5 people, two received their cocktails quickly, one had a soft drink, and two others didn't receive their drinks until much later. This resulted in slow service, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. Hopefully, the next visit will be more successful."

"I usually don't want to comment on the meal times with the finish, as I know how unfair it is to compare them with table served options. but I feel at this opportunity to write a review. the photo below is from a large moussaka will make it clear that this meal came with a part of rice in a somewhat smaller container (so it is only the moussaka on its own faust), but I must admit that I was extremely disappointed by its presentation, the portion size (I am willing to think how a small moussaka would look), and its taste. I have really bought larger, more attractive and much more tastier moussakas in ready meal form. I do not expect meelin standard presentation from one take away, but on all elements, I feel evaporated. his clear prints the limits of creative licensing to describe the part so big, the taste ok, nothing wrong, but it felt in anyway not authentic and more surprising it certainly not taste fresh (that look and taste felt like yesterday's rest). I can't comment on the rice, it was nothing but an Indian farewell pleasant enough. I wish I had eaten in the restaurant, because I would have complained if that was before me."

"When we arrived at the restaurant, we were offered a different menu at £18.50 per person. I tried to explain the online price, but they insisted the menu price was correct. Unfortunately, my partner's soup was only warm and his steak was too rare despite ordering it medium rare. The food was promptly taken back to the kitchen but took a long time to come back. By the time it did, I had already finished my salmon meal, which I found delicious. The dessert also took a long time to arrive, and for most of our meal, we were the only two people in the restaurant until a small party arrived for a buffet. Although the staff apologized for the mistakes with the meal, they did not offer any compensation. While the food itself was tasty, our experience celebrating my partner's birthday was not the best."

"My partner and I visited Chester and were looking for a quick meal before heading home. My partner, who frequents restaurants in our local area, suggested Wok and Go. It turned out to be a big mistake. We both ordered the sweet and sour box - one small and one regular. Everything was fine until my partner found a bluebottle in his food, near the end of his meal. He could have gotten very sick. He immediately asked for a refund, which the girl working there handled well. However, I think only his meal was refunded, even though I had the same food and couldn't trust mine was okay. The chef had an appalling attitude towards the situation, seeming to find it laughable. This was very unprofessional. My partner and I work in a restaurant, and if this is the chef's attitude, they will lose business. The girl was apologetic and expressed how disgusting it was. I barely ate my meal as it put me off. I will never come back here and would not recommend this place to anyone unless the chef changes his attitude."

I stumbled over lipss when I work in chester for 4 weeks, and be honest, it's up with the best. the bark chow I had just 10/10, the best I ever had hands down. "We booked a table for six, for our mothers 80th Birthday treat, but left disappointed. The service and some of the food was way below what we had expected. Two small round tables had been pushed together to accommodate us, not ideal. We were told that we would have the champagne and strawberry’s to start. We had all drank the champagne before the strawberries arrived. The only sandwich with any real flavour was the smoked salmon. We were told we could have more sandwiches, when we asked they took over an hour. Teas arrived very late and we had eaten misting the food beforehand. Birthday cake placed on table without any kind of celebratory effort. Waited 30 minutes for knife to cut cake. One of the staff wearing a ‘G’ badge was wonderful, sadly others seemed less interested with one boardering on officious."

"During the weekend in Chester, we had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The cupcakes were absolutely to die for, and there was a wide selection of tea available for purchase. On my third visit, I bought some Teekanne tea. The staff was busy, but they managed to do their job exceptionally well. Don’t pay attention to the 1 and 2-star reviews from people who don’t understand what being busy entails. If they’re looking for fake smiles and the same coffee they could get anywhere else, they should go to Costa or another chain. It's important to support local independent shops like this one, where the staff truly does their best. I will definitely be returning!"

"I saw this place when I was on a trip to Chester, chips looked delicious and had a wide range of sauces and decided to try. Wow these chips were the best I’ve had in my life!! I only ordered a regular but the girl who served me was lovely and gave me a good serving, filled my chips right to the top, amazing value for money. The blue cheese dip was legendary, I’ve always wanted to try blue cheese dip but I’ve never saw it in England before, definitely exceeded my expectations. Would definitely be here all the time if there was one local to me, it’s a shame I live in Manchester! Loved the food and service!"

"We went to Pizza Express Broughton today, have to say they were brilliant. Missy was our sever and she was lovely, she's definitely an asset that needs to be recognised by the company! Nothing was too much trouble, in fact, all the staff were lovely, despite them being short-staffed due to sickness for which they apologised. There seemed to be an abundance of idiots in there today, you know the ones, professional moaners about nothing in particular, trying to get money knocked off their bills (must have been the rubbish weather! Despite this, Missy and her fellow servers another one called Neve-sorry if we spelt it wrong- were ace, despite the moaners talking to them like something they'd stepped in. Hats off to all of you, can't wait to go back, to the whinge bags, shame on you! "I typically don't write reviews, but as someone who used to frequent this restaurant and considered it a favorite place to order from, I am extremely disappointed. My friends and I were having a party and ordered takeout, but only half of our order arrived. We didn't realize this until we started unpacking. I called the restaurant to inquire about the missing items, but the person on the phone was rude and accused me of being a liar. After some back and forth, they assured me that the missing items would be sent out, but they never arrived. Despite multiple calls, the situation was never resolved. I reported the issue to Uber Eats, but they only offered a partial refund. This experience ruined our Saturday night and I will not be ordering from this restaurant again unless they address the issue with their staff."
