"The service was very good and the staff were very attentive, unfortunately the roast wasn't brilliant the meat Pork belly was very fatty and hardly any actual meat in the portion, the staff did try and correct this and I understand pork belly is a fatty meat. "This was the second time we ate here in 3 days. The food is simple but lovely. Both times we had tea for 2. The first time my wife had soup of the day, which was vegetable and cheese soup. I tried some and it was delicious. I had a lovely bacon sandwich that was more filling than I expected. The second time we had the tea again and both had toasted sandwiches. I had cheese and tomato and my wife had cheese and mushroom. If you have a sandwich toaster at home and like them quite well toasted, I found they didn't toast the sandwich for very long. Just enough to lightly toast the bread and heat the filling. I found I liked it like this and it didn't burn my mouth. All I'm saying is. If you do toasted sandwiches at home and cook for a good few minutes, don't expect these to be cooked for as long. You get 3 bread options. White, Granary and Gluten free. This second time. We also shared the last piece of Flapjack, which was lovely."

"Absolutely brilliant from entering this fantastic restaurant. It was beautiful from the hosts (Anabelle and Lauren), who could not be more welcoming, friendly, entertaining and always smiling. The food was wonderful. My lemon sole was so much better than at Rick Stein's. The food was to die for, Peter the chef is a food magician, it has just entered into my top 3 restaurants in the world. Thank you for a lovely evening. We will definitely be back."

"Have been to many cafes and restaurants since lockdown rules were lifted, and am well mindful of keeping to social distancing rules. So, when I am stood outside on the road looking in and the cafe person is inside behind a table and a queue of people in between it felt like social distancing is being used as an excuse to justify rudeness. After that unpleasantness, I couldn’t be bothered to spend another minute nearby, much less buy anything. Plenty of other friendly places in the town with good coffees and teas."

"The food at Tabb's was truly exceptional. The chef's creative flair was evident in every dish, and the service was top-notch with staff who were very knowledgeable about the culinary offerings. Finding parking was a breeze, especially in the evenings, which was a definite plus. It was disappointing that the restaurant was so quiet, but it may have been due to it being the end of the tourist season. Such high-quality food deserved a larger crowd of diners. The interior decor felt a bit dull and uninspired, which may have contributed to the lack of patrons. The menu options were somewhat limited, though this is common for fine dining establishments."

"The Dining Room has a stellar reputation and going by Google reviews, exceptional in every way. And I will continue to beat that drum. I had the absolute joy of dining here last night. Meticulous attention to detail wove through the evening, through the food and service and ambience, pulling all the elements together into a work of art. The visual beauty of the food did not set you up for a disappointing mouthful. Every flavour and component was there for a reason and played off each other purposefully. My highlights were the truffle cheesecake with balsamic, the smoked cheese custard with Beetroot, the perfectly-cooked-melt-in-your-mouth venison and the rum poached pineapple cheesecake. I tasted many more from people at various levels of willingness to share and can vouch for the rest of the menu too. The value for money is worth mentioning as I left absolutely satiated, happy and not lacking anything. What a treat."

"a few days ago sat for breakfast, although the menu said that avacado was available, the staff told me it was actually guacamole! I just ordered a flowered eggs on granat toast and my man ordered the full English. we waited an incredible amount. time for our food, I thought they lost our order. I can only assume that the toaster was broken, since my toast was only dry brot that had become soggy and pasty under the water, from the fried eggs that were hard and had a kind of brown powder on them (not sure what it was). my man said the full English was average. will not come back."

"I have been a fan of Flourish for years. The food and cakes are excellent and always a good selection. However more recently the cleanliness of the tables and floor has been let go. The tables are left sticky and there is crumbs and caked on dirt all over the floor. On a recent visit the toilet bin is full to capacity with paper towels ?. Its a shame, I feel it has been let go. The whole place needs a clean from top to bottom, There is no excuse for dirty tables. I would hope that this gets sorted out soon before its popularity fades!"

"Visited here on November. One of my most favourite meals out ever. Warm welcome and service was spot on, very attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Complimentary bread and olives is a generous gesture. Shared cold fish starter and I ordered Thai mussels,...my wife Hake with Crab Crostini for main courses. Both were delicious and presented beautifully. I cannot praise this restaurant enough and will be returning frequently. Menu exciting and varied with a heavy accent on local fish, just what I am looking for when visiting Cornwall. Well done Taste it was a wonderful dining experience."

"On the last day of our holiday in Cornwall we decided to order a takeaway from Tapenades and we were so glad we did. Mark was incredibly polite on the phone when taking our order, it arrived on time and still piping hot. Between my family we ordered 3 different main dishes and deserts and all tasted amazing, so much so I actually phoned up after to compliment the chef. If we were staying longer we would definitely be ordering again. If you’d like a high quality meal at a very reasonable price you will not be disappointed, this restaurant deserves to do well."

"Absolutely amazing! We were recommended this place as the best in the area...we are in the Stithians area...and it didnt disappoint. Great cod and chips, lovely panko prawns. The menu is refreshingly not just the norm with some super tasty options beyond battered cod and chips. The batter on the cod was lovely, not too much, and is listed as a secret family recipe. Chips were lovely...two of us normally share a portion, but the Mariners standard size was plenty for one, maybe not enough for two... Parking: behind the main high street, lower side, is a free carpark with a little lane going back up to the street a couple shops down from the Mariners recommend parking there rather than on the high street. Great fish and chips :"

"We stayed overnight in Newquay, and were trying to find a restaurant that had gluten free meals. The Cornish Coffee Bean took care of us! Our niece said her gluten free breakfast was phenomenal! . The guy serving us (owner maybe? was talking to us about our travels through the UK, and when we told him where we were going to be staying that evening, he told us that we would be a very short drive from Stonehenge (missed the summer solstice festivities by a couple days . Thanks to him letting us know, we added that historical location stop for the next day! Thanks for the great food and service!!!!"

"I had a great experience at this restaurant today when I stopped in for a delicious lemongrass tea. My little one and I were warmly greeted by a smiling face. While I waited for my tea, Emma, who works there, brought a large cold glass of water to my table and poured me a glass, anticipating my need for hydration while breastfeeding without even asking. I didn't eat today, but the menu and food that I saw coming out looked delicious and enticing. My 4-year-old loved her healthy milkshake with milk, so we will definitely be back to try the menu soon. "We are regular visitors to Mad Hatters. Now three years since Sharon and Chris took over. We go for lunch and regularly are treated to one of Chris’s specials. Either soup or mackerel pate are fantastic regulars. However there are occasional delights like moussajka, lamb hotpot! Well worth looking at the specials board. "Just what we needed, having walked our dog along the cycle trail on a hot morning and just fancied popping in for an ice cream. Bon Appetit is ideally situated for both cyclists and walkets alike, and could not have been more dog friendly, with a nice big bowl of water put out for thirsty pooches. We were soon tempted by other goodies on the very comprehensive and reasonably priced menu and settled for churros and a milk shake. Whilst placing our order, I could see cake mixture being poured into a tin, so the range of cakes are home made and looked delicious. What is obviously a converted farmyard was the ideal spot to sit in the sun (there is some undercover seating for less sunny days). My husband said that was the best milk shake he had ever had (praise indeed), and I have to agree with him. Our 9 month old springer puppy was made a fuss of by the staff and the whole experience was brilliant. Our pup was well behaved enough for us to feel that we could have stayed longer. I’m sure Bon Appetit will be a favourite and next time we will stop for lunch, as the food coming out to other tables looked delicious!"

"We visited twice on our 3 day trip to Mevagissey. My partner went on his own while I was at a spa day and insisted we go back the next day... Why? When there's so much choice in Mevagissey to try? Because of the free from offering!!! My partner has dairy and gluten intolerances and had 5 cakes to choose from, he was delighted. He had his first scone in 7 years since discovering his intolerances. It is so hard to find places that offer any free from options, let alone gluten and dairy free, let alone a huge variety of choice! Thank you for taking the needs of people who have allergies and intolerances into account. More places should do the same! The owners were so friendly and interested in our dogs too. We would be regulars if we didn't live 6 hours away! We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Cornwall."

"We were really looking forward to our meal at The Beach restaurant, our first night in St Ives.It did not disappoint. Brilliant location and a lovely welcome. It’s a very popular restaurant and was fully booked for the night we were there. Definitely advisable to book as our waiting table was the only one spare at 8pm.What a great idea to have a lovely choice of fish where the price includes a side and a sauce or crust. You can totally tailor your dish to your liking and I immensely enjoyed my lemon sole with mash and a garlic butter. Not massive portions, but really refined and elegant. The service was good and wine by the glass (Riesling) was excellent.We enjoyed our meal here and would definitely return."
