"We were on holiday in Falmouth and walking past in the afternoon noticed they did a Sunday roast. Went and booked a table. Staff were informal and friendly. When we arrived later our table was labelled, but right under a speaker playing music too loud for me. I mentioned this and the volume was immediately turned down. We had a roast beef and a roast pork. Both were superb, especially the pork belly which was tender and tasty and not at all fatty. The selection of beer and cider was great. The pub was reasonably busy and the atmosphere was buzzing. We had a really good evening and would certainly go again to try other things from the menu."

Stopped in Falmouth and saw on TripAdvisor that this pub was highly recommended so decided to try it and glad I did. Fantastic proper chips and lovely ham, staff very friendly and attentive

Had a delicious Sunday pub roast here which hit the spot after a long day of walking. Great beer and cider selection and friendly service, all at a reasonable price. One of the best meals to be had in Falmouth and would recommend to anyone passing through.

We booked a table without any problem. Arrived and ordered. Unfortunately our order apparently was lost and we had an incredible long wait. We have to say the girls who have only been at the penny for a short time were absolutely amazing with their attention. The food was excellent!!! The chef did us proud. My self and partner couldn't be bothered to go back to Helston to cook dinner after visiting our parents, so popped in to look at the menu. Bar staff very attentive, knew the menu well even though it had just changed. All I can say is the food blew me away and knocked a couple of my favourite places out of the ball park. Food was well presented with amazing flavours. We will definitely be back

I have to say this was probably the most dissapointing roast dinner I've ever had. I ended up ordering the pork as the beef had ran out and was unpleasantly suprised when i saw a lump of fatty pork accompanied with 3 roast potatoes and 2 carrots to share between 2 people. I cant say i was impressed for paying £18.50 for it and it was a trip to spoons to get some proper dinner for a fraction of the price.

We visited Pennycomequick three times first for just a drink (and loved the atmosphere! , then for dinner (food wonderful and staff very welcoming and friendly , then finally because we were let down by another restaurant and needed something to eat! The manager was great and looked after us. If we're in Falmouth again, we'll definitely return. In a nutshell, a great pub, with superb food that's very welcoming to visitors (thank you! .

Popped in here for a late lunch on the off chance whilst visiting Falmouth. The young girl, Neska, who served us was so friendly and welcoming from the minute we walked in to the minute we left. Service is hard to come by and she was a gem! We ordered a burger to share and wow! The burger was so tasty, made with local produce, great flavors and the chips were the best me and my partner have had. You can tell the chef takes pride in what he is serving, great traditional pub food but with the flavor and service that many lack nowadays! Thank you!
