"Yo Sushi! What has happened to you?! We visited as a family during half term to make use of the kids eat free deal. On arrival we were told most of the hot food items weren't available due to supply issues. Edamame beans were unavailable...too which was part of the kid's meal starter... a very disappointing start. We had a very limited menu to choose from. We like looking at a menu but now sadly everything has to be done on your phone. Personally I find it very unsociable and rude seeing people glued to their phones in restaurants. Our phones stayed hidden at meal times and when we are together as a family. I despised the fact I had to sit there with my family using my phone to show them the menu and place our order. What sort of impression does this give to children? Bring back the paper menus and staff to take orders so families can enjoy their time together. The belt is of no use now so why isn't it turned off? This was the fun part of visiting Yo Sushi. Food is now brought out to the table rather than on the belt. The restaurant was absolutely freezing but probably due to the metro centre being cold. It made a very uncomfortable visit. Yo Sushi should think about using heaters as the booth we were sitting at was extremely cold. There are now no call buttons so if you need to get the attention of the waitress you either have to wait ages or go look for them. I had asked the waitress for some proper chopsticks for our children as they prefer these to the easy chopsticks, and also for another dish to put the soya sauce in as she had only given us one. Although she was very busy, she had forgotten so I had to leave my seat to find her and ask again. I am not sure why only one dish is given per family too. Before blaming covid, dipping dishes, wasabi, pickled ginger and soya sauce were available at hand to use. Now we can't blame covid here as the bottle of soya sauce is left out on the table anyway. Although the food was nice, the nigiri we purchased was messy. It appeared the sashimi had been ripped apart rather than cutting properly so the rice was covered in slithers of fish which fell apart. Finally, in a world of saving the planet and reducing plastic waste, why on earth have the water dispensers been removed from each table?! Now I have to purchase a drink in a plastic bottle! I hope these are reintroduced. We used to visit Yo Sushi almost every month before covid hit. I feel the changes made have ruined the experience of visiting Yo Sushi."
