The Wheatsheaf offers pretty good value pub food served up in either the bar or their restaurant by enthusiastic and hard working staff

Took eight of our family for a meal in the bar as one of them brought a dog with them, it was a good meal enjoyed by everyone, even the dog enjoyed the company

We had a lovely midweek meal for a leaving party for our friend Andrew at this restaurant. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and I highly recommend trying the mince and dumplings. Speisekarte ansehen

Lovely food reasonably priced but even better is the excellent service from the lady who I think is the manager and the lovely young waiting staff. Well done and highly recommended.

The food here is freshly prepared with fresh ingredients. A good selection on specials menu which all tastes good and well presented. The staff are very obliging willing to help customers with special dietary needs. They are also pleasant, professional well presented.

We took advantage of being able to bring our dog into the bar area and had a delicious and satisfying meal. The menu had a good variety of options and the staff were very friendly. The cod wrapped in parma ham was delicious and the mixed grill was generous in portion size and high in quality. Bland food. Cold restaurant and warm wine. I had such high Hope's. And was disappointed. Wont return. Tomato pizza garlic bread cold and not fresh garlic. Left horrible taste in mouth. Pizzas very bland indeed and stodgy base and not enough tomato. No parmesan or black pepper offered. Chips were cooked in old fat. Inedible. Wine was warm. Asked for a chilled one and was offered a an ice cube!! No no no. Sorry not a winner for me.

Visited this pub last evening do not be put off by the front of the pub, it is lovely inside has good a massive conservatory which is a dinning room. The food what can I say it was excellent could not fault anything and it was reasonably priced,ask about the portion size before ordering as it would be a sham to not finish all of it.The service was excellent too the staff very attentive nothing to much trouble well worth a visit. And a well kept pint.

My wife and I went to this pub for Sunday lunch and we had a very enjoyable experience. We had made a reservation for 1pm and were seated right away. We ordered drinks and starters of garlic mushrooms and potato skins, followed by three meat main courses. The food was served promptly, hot, and delicious. The service was excellent and the restaurant quickly filled up by 1:30pm. There is convenient parking on the side of the pub and the bar is pet-friendly. The only reason I did not give it a perfect score is because I prefer mashed potatoes over boiled ones and mashed turnip over cabbage. However, I would definitely return as it is definitely worth a visit. Speisekarte ansehen
