"year we are still under (as we were in the year and from August the government imposed the green pass in order to be able to eat a meal sitting in a local , and to participate in events museum visits (see August decree arrived from a few days in grotto ta and one evening I decided to sit at the convium to eat a dinnerthis restaurant – pizzeria is located right in the district of the ceramics and is two steps of the old town even if to reach the ancient slope. at my entrance, the local green passil is not located on the road level, but it is necessary to climb a narrow and long scale, you get to the height of a first floor. To park you need to find nearby, but routes two wells after the posts there is one. In the room where I was assigned the table is not very large but well organizes, the walls are covered with (for me wood) red and blue colors; the ceiling remembers a barrel. the second room I had no way to visit it; the staff of room made me sit and delivered the menu “to the card”Menu / toilet price: menu à la carte has been prepared in Italian includes courses of land, sea and pizzeria the menu inside it did not propose many courses but that also enhancing the products of Puglia. I started the dinner with an integral ear with pesto alla pugliese (heavy prepared with a local cheese) to resume the cheese were made of the spikes of himself. I continued with a frying of squid and white shrimp accompanied by an oven potato. This flow I found very good crispy and dry fried, potatoes baked and browned, shrimps were fried with all their carapace, maybe it would have been better to remove it, but it is so thin that you can also eat (in informal to me it all) white wine of the good house (I don’t remember the type placey . Good prices for the consumed courses, the contours would put them to euro instead of euro bath found in order. I suggest we try it."

"We were in Grottaglie for some ceramic shopping, but in Italy you need to eat too! This beautifully stocked shop has so many wonderful products, and interwoven into the shop itself is a restaurant which serves delicious, carefully prepared food lovingly served by the most helpful and charming Daniele and the rest of the family. While we were there, a family with small child, a lone older gentleman, and 2 men wearing biker jackets sat at adjoining tables for lunch. But first the wine. Daniele asked us what we liked, and he brought out 4 or 5 bottles of local Puglian wines, from which we chose the Vigna Castello of the famed Vallone estate, a mix of Negroamaro and Sussumaniello, well priced and absolutely terrific. The food came:: first, a large selection of Italian cured meats, featuring the rarely seen in US Coppocolla de Martina Franca, lardo, prosciuttos from Puglia and other regions, and then a equally copious platter of only young cheeses: several different sizes and shapes of mozzerella, a primo sale ricotto that was like a custard desert, and a smoked burrata which was so perfectly scented with a wisp of smoke that in no way overwhelmed the cheese itself. Anywhere else in the world, this would have been enough, but not in Italia! We both had a red wine and caciacavallo risotto which changed the way we thought about risotto. This experience over 2 hours was a delight in every way, and after that we just wanted to food shop. So we picked up some of the aforementioned Cappocolla de Martina Franca,, some very young ricotto, chocolates, spices, etc. and went on our way. Thanks Daniele and family, for the wonderful experience in this classy wine shop on the edge of town."

"On Saturday in the late afternoon I contacted a friend saying if she had a pizza but I doubted that I would find a free table in a local of the town that produces gluten-free. But as surprised I booked for 21:30 and as soon as you arrive we settled. Nice renovated, rustic and clean room that does not consist of many tables, from which you can notice the places in which prepare pizzas with and gluten-free front. We ordered a portion of gluten free fries and pizzas, my a glass (this is the name, and it is the first in photo, white with cherry tomatoes, nuts and nut cream, spectacular) without gluten, and a grotto (white with tomatoes, mushrooms and onion) normal. Pazzesco the taste, delicious, cooked to the right point, soft both, my equal to a glutinous, so much so that at first I got the doubt, but the next day (because I went to reorder them to make it taste also to my celiac mother), Federico the owner told me that a client had called it to the table not believing that it was a gluten-free pizza given the good taste, I also use it The only neo (if we want to define it), is the lack of gluten free desserts having only tiramisù, but it is not a problem. Very good value for money, we paid €15 per head taking a portion of chips, a bottle of water, two pizzas, a small beer, a lemon ice cream and a bitter. By the way they also offer home service through the just eat app, what to say more, really courteous staff, celery and helpful owner included, really the top. Satisfied, highly recommended."

All 'inizio ero un po ' scettico.
