"My recent visit to this restaurant with friends was very disappointing. We used to be regular customers when we lived nearby, but now that we’ve moved away, we thought we would come back for the amazing food we remembered. Unfortunately, the service was slow and our plates were not cleared between the main course and dessert. Despite only a few other tables being occupied and enough staff, the service was still lacking. The carbonara was average and the cheesecake was almost frozen in the middle and lacked flavor. The menu hinted at a change in ownership, and after reading other reviews, it’s clear that this has not been a positive change for the restaurant’s reputation, quality, and service. The offer of 2 courses for £15 or £19, depending on the time, was misleading as we were not informed that it only applied to a starter and main course, resulting in a higher bill than expected. There was no explanation or apology given for the oversight. The food was okay, but not worth the price. It’s a shame because we had spoken highly of this restaurant to friends and family, but our recent experience was disappointing. Despite the good company we had, we won't be returning.
