"A friend and I stumbled on to this neighbourhood restaurant by chance; no research, no booking, no expectations. We were then blown away by the quality of the food: wonderfully fresh fish, beautifully cooked. The service is also exemplary. I've always enjoyed calamari, but this was by far the best I've ever had: truly succulent and juicy. The mussels were almost as good, and the sea bream kept up the standard. The spiced quince with ice cream made a nice change from baclava in a Turkish restaurant (they still threw in some baclava). The owner, Tony, provides excellent recommendations — make sure you take them! He knows what's fresh that morning, and how his wife cooks it. The bill comes hand-written, and Tony forgot to include the wine (obviously I corrected him). I can't remember the last time a restaurant bill made a mistake in the customers' favour! No service charge is included, and it deserves a lot more than the usual 12.5%. This is a wonderful, old-fashioned restaurant, run by a charming old couple, committed to maintaining old-fashioned standards. The food is more than great and the prices more than reasonable. Service is personal, honest and responsive (providing Tony turns his hearing aid on). Tony warns you if anything you wanted was bought in, rather than home-made. Why don't unassuming but wonderful restaurants like this get Michelin stars?"

"I won't recommend this restaurant... I went there with a friend of mine from France. Two cooks, and a bad service lady. No smile, no enthusiasm about what she was selling. If you are too tired or bored stay home. The food was not that good. Actually I shouldn't be surprise as we were the only two. The starters were ok, no crazy. Some Lebanese restaurants in London are doing better than that. I'm not even sure if it's home made.I took then Aubergines salade. Aubergines were dry in oven with acidic tomato sauce and a bit a Feta. You can even do better yourself even If you are not born in Greece. My friend took a sort of Souffle with Feta. It was was in the list of salad but with no salad. We were surprise, but the lady said that it was not only a salad list. For the one who doesn't like Lamb... Forget it.When my friend asked for two separates bills they said it's too late. The Chef said that we had to ask before. I was fuming. He wanted to call the police because we couldn't pay. We could we wanted them to do their job properly. The waitress was as professional as the beginning. No smile, nothing and the Chef the old one) was only good to wear the apron. NEVER GO THERE! He said to us as we were talking French, if yo are living in the UK you would know that law. I said that I was living in London and I never heard that sort of things. I love discovering new restaurant in London it can be incredible. When you know this area, there are only few restaurant where you are able to sit. There are most of them to take away. I know what to do next time!!!! NEXT won't be worst..."

"A trio of connoisseurs* of South Asian cuisine descended upon Kings Cross on a fine Spring evening in 2022, in search of Q. I say they were in search of Q, but really two of them hadn 't been told where they 're going and the third had organised the evening. So, despite one member having dressed like he was ready to find some ancient ruins, this wasn 't exactly a new installment in the Indiana Jones saga. Q 's Kitchen can only be described as a reverse Trojan Horse. Let me explain: 1) It doesn 't look like some lavish gift 2) You go into it, rather than the other way around 3) The surprise is a good one (you have a nice Pakistani meal instead of getting murdered by a bunch of Greek fellas) If you 're not paying attention, Q 's resembles a regular London chicken shop, but look to the left wall and you 'll see a regular menu of Pakistani classics chana curry, haleem, biryani, and more... look to the right and there 's a chalk board of specials. We obviously started with a round of 6 spicy chicken wings though. Supremely greasy, a little kick of chilli, and with just enough crunch in the coating to make them satisfying. We followed up with a chana curry with rice, haleem, paya, aloo paratha, and a couple of naan. As you can see in the attached photo (slightly edited to fix lighting), our former chairman was particularly excited by this feast, and his enthusiasm for the food remained as such throughout. We definitely over ordered, and yet the bill (with 3 soft drinks) came in under £35. In the words of Fatboy Slim: We 've come a long long way together, Through the bad times and the good, I have to celebrate Q, baby, I have to praise Q like I should *there were definitely three of us, whether or not we are connoisseurs is less certain."
