"We just had an outstanding lunch of seafood chowder followed by salmon topped with olive tapenade, served with broccoli and mash. We arrived about 2:30 on a weekday afternoon, had to wait about 10 minutes for a table to be cleared, then waited and waited to place our order. Finally got a drinks menu and ordered, then waited more. Eventually our chowder arrived, hot, delicious, full of flavor, chunks of salmon, potato, onion, about 7 mussels, and other bits of various fish, served with 2 slices of soda bread. After we'd finished the chowder, our salmon arrived, a large piece, beautifully poached until just cooked, topped with olive tapenade, served with broccoli, mashed potatoes and a lemon wedge. The salmon was divine, definitely fresh. Despite the long stretches of waiting, this place deserves a high 5. Inadequate staffing is not unexpected on a slow weekday afternoon in slow season in a seaside town."
