"In terms of logistics, parking at Great Jones can be a bit tricky depending on the time of day, but we had no trouble finding a spot on a Sunday. The restaurant also catered well to families, with a separate children's menu and activities to keep the little ones entertained. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant overall. Overall, I would highly recommend Great Jones for a delicious and family-friendly dining experience. The prices were reasonable, the service was excellent, and the food was top-notch. Some recommended dishes include the Steak Sandwich, GJ Crispy Chicken Wings, Chicken Curry, Steak and Fries, and the Passion Fruit and Lemon Cheesecake. Parking is available and free street parking can usually be found nearby."

We all chose from the special menu and kicked back in the upper bar area. Katie and Mary not only met but totally exceeded our service expectations, making our experience seriously awesome. And the food? It was on point, leaving us totally satisfied. So, if you ever find yourselves in Newcastle, definitely check out Quinns! In the heart of Newcastle lies Quinns bar... "Villa Vinci is one of the worst meal experiences I have had out in a long time. We called ahead and were told we could arrive early for our reservation but when we arrived we were not seated for 30 minutes. When we were seated we could not get a member of staff to take our food order for another 30 minutes. There were two very noisy twelve person tables of golfers and it seemed that they took priority over all the other customers in the restaurant. The garlic bread we got was fine, but the chicken and bacon pasta al forno was very bland and disappointing, as was the customer service from the staff member who served us. He took our nearly full plates away without a enquiry and served us the bill without so much as a thank you."

"Olive Bizarre is located near the pier, making it a perfect spot for a coffee and delicious homemade food after a walk. The staff are friendly and welcoming. During our weekend trip to Newcastle in January, we were recommended this little gem and were not disappointed. Despite the busyness, we had to sit outside but were provided with hot water bottles to keep us warm, a nice touch. This is definitely a place worth visiting if you're in the area."

"On a Monday afternoon, my dining companions and I had a special occasion and decided to try out a unique and intriguing vegan menu at the restaurant. We started with the Beetroot starter, which was delicious and very light. The fermented barley starter had a peculiar taste that I had never experienced before, but it was warm and essential. For the main course, I had the stuffed dish, which was artistic, delicious, and very light. The pudding was advertised as peach, blood orange, and ink red, but it turned out to be sorbet on crispy crumbs, which was still very delicious. We also shared a side of Veg, which was recommended to us as part of the tasting menu. However, we found that the tasting menu lacked enough courses and felt that additional dishes like bread, veggies, and potatoes should be offered to prevent hunger. The prices of the additional dishes were not listed on the menu, and we felt that they could be a bit exaggerated, especially given the cost of a glass of wine at £8. Despite these concerns, we appreciated the creativity and effort put into the menu development and the preparation of the dishes. We recommend trying out this restaurant and supporting their venture, but suggest ordering extra dishes and opting for at least three courses if you're not too hungry. We ended up going elsewhere for coffee and a vegan dessert to feel more satisfied. We were impressed by the fact that the dishes were plant-based rather than just vegan and would definitely consider returning in the future."
