"Every time I visit, I always order the Razor clams at Saltwater Fish Company. However, this time, I was disappointed to find that the clams were not properly cleaned as I could taste grit and sand. Additionally, they were overcooked, resulting in a rubbery texture that ruined the overall taste. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Saltwater Fish Company this time."

This was our 4th time at the restaurant, we had a great meal and the service was excellent. All the staff were very friendly and watching the chefs was really interesting. We will certainly be back.

As always the food service was excellent. The express lunch served until 4pm offers exceptional value. I had the smoked mackerel pate followed by the fish cake which were both delicious for £23, washed down with a delicious house red. Fabulous!

"In terms of logistics, parking at Great Jones can be a bit tricky depending on the time of day, but we had no trouble finding a spot on a Sunday. The restaurant also catered well to families, with a separate children's menu and activities to keep the little ones entertained. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant overall. Overall, I would highly recommend Great Jones for a delicious and family-friendly dining experience. The prices were reasonable, the service was excellent, and the food was top-notch. Some recommended dishes include the Steak Sandwich, GJ Crispy Chicken Wings, Chicken Curry, Steak and Fries, and the Passion Fruit and Lemon Cheesecake. "Updated 10/10/2023 What sets this bar apart is its fantastic, down-to-earth staff, with the super-friendly Katie and Mary leading the way. We all chose from the special menu and kicked back in the upper bar area. Katie and Mary not only met but totally exceeded our service expectations, making our experience seriously awesome. And the food? It was on point, leaving us totally satisfied. So, if you ever find yourselves in Newcastle, definitely check out Quinns! In the heart of Newcastle lies Quinns bar... One of my favourite local bars. (Great beer, lovely food and fantastic staff!"

"Villa Vinci is one of the worst meal experiences I have had out in a long time. We called ahead and were told we could arrive early for our reservation but when we arrived we were not seated for 30 minutes. When we were seated we could not get a member of staff to take our food order for another 30 minutes. There were two very noisy twelve person tables of golfers and it seemed that they took priority over all the other customers in the restaurant. The garlic bread we got was fine, but the chicken and bacon pasta al forno was very bland and disappointing, as was the customer service from the staff member who served us. He took our nearly full plates away without a enquiry and served us the bill without so much as a thank you."

"Olive Bizarre is located near the pier, making it a perfect spot for a coffee and delicious homemade food after a walk. The staff are friendly and welcoming. During our weekend trip to Newcastle in January, we were recommended this little gem and were not disappointed. Despite the busyness, we had to sit outside but were provided with hot water bottles to keep us warm, a nice touch. This is definitely a place worth visiting if you're in the area."

"Monday afternoon. exceptional and interesting vegan menu. we tried the Beetroot star. delicious, very light. fermented gerstenstarter, peculiar taste, but I had no fermented grains before (a substantial starter and warm). I had stuffed the front. artistic. delicious. very light. pudding was described as pfirsich, bleeding and advertising red. it wasn't from them. it was sorbet on crispy crumbs. very tasty. we have divided a division of veg. have been recommended and we were recommended that it was more from a tasting menu. Previous tasting menus I had had more courses. they should take into account this or offer aging brot at the beginning and/or veg and kartoffeln with the main. we have all gone through hunger. beside orders were not listed on the menu, so we didn't know what extra cost had been incurred and given the fact that a glass was $8, I thought two or three sides could be exaggerated. I also do not really think in the principle that set menus should need additional pages when they buy all three courses. we appreciate the craftsmanship and the effort that went into the development of the menu and prepare the dishes and their ingredients. they go here and support them in their venture, but order a few next-courts and consider them no less than three courses or do not make them too hungry. we went to another place for a coffee and vegan sweet to feel satisfied. we liked the fact that the dishes were plant-based instead of just vegan. I would definitely think new."
