"Extremely disappointed this evening. For about 27 years since my mum run the conti in Ashby I’ve always used Ashby Grill, I’ve always found it expensive but high quality and happy to pay for such delicious food. After tonight I will never use them again after such rude a disrespect for a loyal customer. In 27 years I’ve called twice to say once that my sauce was all spilt in my bag and another time to say extra toppings I payed for was missing and on those occasions they offered me a few quid off my next order that I happily accepted. Tonight I ordered 2 pizzas as it advertised 2nd half price I asked if that was correct and told yes, and the house special kebab that’s £20! Now it’s absolutely delicious and I only have one maybe twice a year so real treat. I ask for salad and sauce separately and told yes always. I ask can I pay card on delivery and he says he send me bank details so I pay and my order is made and delivered to me in 25 minutes!! Pizzas looked beautiful, they went off with their happy customers and I open mine up. The sauce is swimming in the bag, I open up the box and it’s drenched it sauce I’ve had the most awful few days, emotionally drained and on the rare occasion I think I know I’ll have a take away it’s always my order that’s wrong I can’t eat that, it’s not what I want, it’s not what I asked for and it’s not what I payed for, so I call them…….. First I got accused of not asking for separate Then told if I want to make sure it’s correct like that to order on line Then told next time I can have one half price??? I don’t want one half price? I wanted what I ordered and payed for? Just give me a refund instead….. No, flat out refused to refund me said it’s not what customers normally ask for and that I am suspicious!! I’m telling you it’s in the bin I send him a photo of it in my kitchen bin only to be accused of putting it in a plain bag for a photo and then take it out and eat it and get a free one! By the time he had sent me that reply I had already took the bag out to the wheelie bin, after he accused me of this I sent him a video of me busting open the bag in my black wheelie bin and showing it as proof only to be told I tried to scam him before? I’m not trying to fleece you I said, if you made a mistake in the past I’ve mentioned it and you put it right, I’ve come here for about 27 years and always come to you and your accusing me? I would be happy to come to collect a fresh one but I was refused. I’m a customer and Im not allowed to let you know when you made a mistake? Answer is he’s banning me!! Like I would return after such rudeness! I’m absolutely gutted, the standards of food has always been so high there but I’ve never been one to throw money away and always felt if I’m paying for a service and something is wrong then I will say so it can be rectified but also in turn, if I have excellent service I tip and give praise too!! At the end of the conversation I was asked if I put it in the bin then what did I have to eat, well I went to makkies thanks and I’m £20 down from someone who called their loyal customer a suspicious person and I most certainly wouldn’t ever go there again after being called a lier! So yes Ashby Grill consider this a poor review and a warning to anyone if your order is wrong he won’t believe you or will give you a few quid off your next one but if they make a mistake again then that’s it, your just out to fleece them and get a free meal"
