"NOT WORTH THE 1 STAR Having not been for a few yrs due to ill health, I was elated to be able to visit for lunch with Hubby and the kids. As always staff were accommodating to our needs being 1 wheelchair user and 1 scooter user. However, that 's as good as it got bar a Lovely quick catch up with Wendy (who is always amazing, alongside Jo). Unfortunately unbeknown to us, since visiting last, it 's had a new manager who hired a Professional Chef . Needles to say the food which always came UNSEASONED, now was, as with most Professional Chefs , seasoned to within an inch of its life. When the food arrived, I enquired if it had been peppered to be told i 'll check, it might be off the griddle, by the server (unknown), who never got back to us. I 'd ordered an omelette, and upon the first bite, felt like I 'd swallowed several mouthfuls of Sea water. (I should imagine the manager thinks this will make people drink more). Being intolerant to salt and pepper, I gagged. My sons chicken burger was inedible and incorrect. We reordered 2 meals. My husband, when he has salt, tends to over do it a bit, however, even he couldn 't stomach the chunks of course Sea salt all over his chips. My daughters mash was slightly more palatable to begin with, despite being drier than the Sahara Desert. The onion rings were raw too. Having ordered more drinks and re ordered 2 meals, we finally received and finished 1 and 3/4 's of an hour later. As if that wasn 't bad enough, it cost £46, for food so basic, my ASD teenagers could have cooked it within half the time, and to a better standard. Quite frankly, I shall never step foot (or whhel) in there again. Its a shame,as we used to go weekly."
