"This place was actually very close to our stay at Relais Villa del Monte, recommended, and greatly appreciated. Seemed filled with local families on a Sunday afternoon. Friendly reception, limited English, but we managed to get a lovely bottle of wine (imagine that lol) and fabulous Ragusan food. Sausage in a crispy pastry with sweet/sour onions, ravioli in pork sauce (chunky morsels of meat), rabbit stew, molten chocolate cake were all eagerly devoured before heading back to hotel in a food coma. The sign for the restaurant is immediately next to the driveway that looks like a drop off the cliff, but isnt, that leads to a large parking area. There is ample outdoor and indoor seating. If they were open on Monday we would have happily eaten here again!"

"I went with my girlfriend to celebrate our anniversary, the location is intimate and romantic, as well as the atmosphere inside the club. the reception and the service were exceptional, really good the waiters, they pampered us and made us feel of the gentlemen. we immediately served water, two glasses of wine, bread and welcome of the chef. We ordered two appetizers, one of shrimps and a tartare, both to leave without words. Later, we took a first of pens lined with very good gragna and a curl that dissolved in the mouth. Finally, for dessert, we went on the millefoglie and on the cannolo: both exceptional, the real battle horses of the club, to try absolutely! in everything, choosing paper, we paid 136€, then 68€ per head."

"I have been tonight, 30 July 2021 In first place, I highlight that they applied all rules about face mask and distances (of course you can remove mask when eating, but all staff was wearing mask), hand sanitizer was available The place itself is very elegant, clean and impeccable. It deserves few pics It is on a first flooor with a glass wall all the lenght of the restaurant From the glass wall you can see the Cattedrale di San Giovanni Battista (main church) and Via Roma below (the street where people stroll around in the evening) The kitchen is visible, on one end of the restaurant, so you see the staff preparing your food. I was not hungry so I had just a fish caponata (see the web for caponata , it 's to long to explain) and then a sword fish with salad They were both delicious Even the basket with bread was fine, there was a choice of small fresh local breads, including berad sticks. There is a rich list of wines, but I was in the mood for a beer so I picked a local lager one, very tasty and thick. All staff was very welcoming, professional and helpful I recommend it for a nice evening out in Ragusa."

"The place was nearly full with locals so this should be a great place. Considering this and the good reviews for this pizzeria, we were not impressed with the quality of the pizza. We shared 2 plates of antipasto (chesses, olives and cold meats) between 3, which was more than enough. One of our pizzas was with frozen seafood (which was indicated in the menu). The other 2 pizzas were also average. The red house wine is not recommended. At the end the price was very cheap around 40Euros between us 3."

"it was a pleasure to eat a hamburger with horse meat. the staff is very nice and helpful. I really appreciate the fact that you can choose gluten free options that are excellent, the gluten free bun that my boyfriend ordered looked really tasty and wasn’t falling apart like sometimes happen with GF products. we didn’t pay much for a plate that was fully satisfying. I’m looking forward to coming back to you"

"excellent restaurant in the center of ragusa, a stone's throw from the places of montalbano, of which it is part as detectable by the autograph released on the wall by gypsyretti. healthy food, typical without being dissociated by reality, simple and pleasant flavors. excellent raw material quality. of good level also the dessert as well as the first and second, improveable appetizers, but then you would certainly not be able to complete a meal. I'll be back for sure."

"I thought the staff would be very efficient and helpful, but the restaurant had no atmosphere at all. It felt like playing in a big dungeon with very tired old whipped music. The invoice also needed correction and everything in all overpriced"

"This restaurant gives you the chance to eat a meal with a very low carbon footprint, as the ingredients are all sourced locally. Once again in Sicily, we turned up with our Google Translate app ready to understand the menu but the people who served us instantly recognised we were British (it’s a shame it’s so obvious) and started talking to us fluently in English. The food was delicious and came in large quantities we ate the lot and was based on the recommendation of the restaurant. We had Mixed Sicilian antipasti, a ricotta soufflé (we think that’s what it was), amazing homemade sweet ricotta ravioli with a beautiful tomato sauce, a meat dish that from the menu translated to ‘Pork of the Pig’ which was sausage and pork belly followed by cannoli and something called ‘Eat White’ which was a milk mousse with lime. All fantastic. As we left we were given a semi frozen limoncello which was also lovely. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and if we had more time in the area we would certainly eat here again. Grazie, Pete"

"Simply, this is a cheese restaurant. I am not into aged cheeses, however, my wife is. We ordered two cheese plates, one fresh and one aged. Both were accompanied by cured meats and grilled veggies as well as some sauces. I thought the ricotta was the best I've had, and I've lived in Brooklyn, NY for almost 20 years. The cured meats, though not made in house, were locally sourced and delicious. All the cheeses are made in house. My wife assured me the aged cheeses were all excellent. This restaurant is a must eat at when in Ragusa!"

"It took them about one hour to serve our starters. The service was very slow. It is a family run place, and there were many people ordering around the same time. So it's understandable, but we were very hungry, so the wait was long. They serve a mini appetizer bread with sun-dried tomatoes. They brought me gluten-free bread. Our starter was octopus on top of beans with some lemon shavings. It was a unique dish and tasty. I had a gluten-free vongole, which was really good, but my partner was not very satisfied with his rabit pasta. The atmosphere is very quiet. There were mainly couples but also a few families. Other dishes around us looked good, and I think they have a good selection of wines. But it was a shame as it was really slow service and perhaps the not friendliest either."

"I’m not sure where to begin. The location is one of the strangest I’ve ever encountered, can’t decide if it’s an old church or community centre with a very dirty, unkempt exterior in what seems to be a random housing estate. Walked into an almost bare room with a few tables being used and lots of chairs stacked up to the side, along with a random piano. Not greeted by anyone for a few minutes then taken outside. Table setting was nice, but next to a large group (who kept lighting up cigarettes- nice) They didn’t have the advertised wine we wanted so offered an alternative(which was more expensive than the one we originally asked for). The food was distinctly average I’m afraid, lazy beef tartare, barely any seasoning with large chunks of beef, rather than the more refined smaller cuts with other ingredients, obviously good quality meat, but poorly executed. 120 euro T bone that we cooked ourselves, had little flavour and because the meat was cold to begin with(would have expected room temp) it had to be over cooked to warm it through (cold rare meat is unpleasant), which was less than ideal.. the point of having good meat is not to turn it into shoe leather. The accompanying mushrooms were delightful however. The waiter was pleasant and helpful. And annoyingly we did not receive the Fork discount advertised, so was overly expensive as well as disappointing."

"We just came back from this restaurant and let me tell you this was incredible and probably the best food we had so far on our roadtrip in Sicily. The service is excellent. Very attentive staff and accommodating. Despite not having reservation we were seated straight away outside. The seating arranged in a way that you feel very comfortable and tables are spaced nicely, so you feel very private. Food is absolutely excellent. We were served bread with their selected olive oil which tasted amazing. For antipasti we had gamberri Rosso (served raw) drizzled with olive oil and sea salt grilled octopus. Both of these dishes were perfect and octopus was probably the best octopus we had ever. Not chewy at all, perfectly charred. We only had primi and no secondi but our pasta with lobster Ragu and parsley sauce left us in awe! Perfectly al dente, creamy heavenly sauce and parsley just added this dish another dimension. Tiramisu was absolutely amazing too. As for the price versus quality I think it deserves 10 stars. I cannot recommend you enough this restaurant and if you just arrived in Ragusa and want your first dinner here to make a lasting impression please go to Camuri!"

"This cafe is on a slope just in front of the Duomo Church. It’s understated and the only thing that drew us in was its convenience after a long drive. The staff were friendly and unassuming. We found once we ordered, the food and drinks...came very quickly. We had the ham and mushroom pizza and the bolognaise arancini. Both were fantastic, the best we have had so far in Italy. We had many great meals in Rome, Syracuse and Positano, but this quaint little cafe was a standout. The arancini has a lot of flavour, it was crunchy, had a great balance between the meat sauce and the rice. I loved the peas in the middle. My kids had the ham and cheese arancini which they said was delicious. The pizza was amazing, I can’t tell you why it was so good, the crust was perfect but there was something that just made you keep wanting to eat this pizza more and more. We weren’t even that hungry but after this meal I just wanted another pizza. We also ordered the Ragusa focaccia which tasted very much like lasagna only the crust was kinda dry, and there wasn’t enough meat or cheese sauce. The prawn and tuna salad was ok, it was smothered in their red sauce. It was very much like a prawn cocktail (using defrosted frozen prawns) with canned tuna. Both were average. We all had drinks (wine, beer and soft drinks for 5 people) and a bowl of fries. Plus the 3 kids also had ice cream. The bill came to less than 50 Euros. Very reasonable."
