"Abbiamo cenato qui per un'occasione di famiglia. Locale super curato, location unica nonostante la stagione invernale. Personale cortese e particolarmente attento. Siamo stati accolti con un omaggio dello chef, ostriche con lamponi, sfincionello bagherese e degustaizone di olio della casa. Successivamente abbiamo preso degli antipasti da dividere:porzioni abbondati e ottima qualità (l'antipasto caldo si mangia tranquillamente in 3). Abbiano ordinato moscardini fritti e antipasto caldo cefala.Poi abbiamo optato per un piatto a testa.. Ho assaggiato i paccheri al ragu di polpo e calamaro ai colori con una guacamole ai fichi d india.. Veramente spettacolare"

"We turned up here without a reservation as there was no online reservation. Admittedly we could have rung but hey ho. The management were brilliant in fitting us and other couples in when it looked as if had been set up and expecting a bigger party Firstly the view is to die for. Overlooking the capo zefferano bay taking in Porticello, st Elia etc and at sunset it was spectacular. There are not many restaurants with a view in the area so probably best to reserve beforehand. We shared a bottle of Nero d’avola and water and as we had got used to Sicilian portions shared a traditional bruschetta starter. I had sea bass to follow with aubergine and courgette my husband had a curried prawn and pesto tagliatelle which he said was delicious. I had a melon sorbet to follow and we both had coffees to finish. The staff were great and responsive. The 70/80s disco playlist on the PA was strange but quietly enjoyable taking us back to our youth and was maybe something of a management speciality, who knows."

"Having seen this as a popular venue with local parties, we booked the previous evening for 4 of us on my birthday. When we arrived, we were happy they fitted us in, as most of the tables had large family birthday celebrations set up, festooned with balloons and children's entertainers organised for the kids. This led to an infectious atmosphere of lively conversations and we admit to happily people watching all evening! In addition, the venue has a smart modern design, plenty of space and friendly, efficient service. Even better, if that were possible, the ingredients flavours, preparation and presentation of the food was excellent. Sounds like a 5 star rating to me. Why they have 4 on TripAdvisor, non capisco io!"

"that sin (ott.2022) after so many years everything has changed. I decided to go back to my favorite restaurant after the renovation. It was a fixed destination for me. I must say that the place has improved internally, but I always prefer to have lunch in the outer space overlooking the sea. Great. I recently returned with other friends for lunch, we sat as always. Tables without tablecloths can be pleasant, but the cutlery in direct contact with table n. approach a boy to order (I will say a little garbage): What do you want to order? asks us, without proposals and without menu. We choose an ankle and a second. Exaggerated waiting times. service that lets you want. good quality of food, presentation not received. the chef who made the difference definitely. salty and unaccounted for, even compared to the previous gourmet dishes that the chef maurizio created. (before the renovation) compliments to the chef, maurizio. elegant dishes, fresh ingredients and quality. sea view, maximum relaxation. constant prices (average/high)."

"We arrived to early on a lovely sunny sunday evening at Porticello where we are staying mid April 2016 for aweek right opposite Antica Pizzeria. A very friendly young lady welcomed us and offered us to sit down and have a drink. Meals or Pizze could not be offered yet. We got seated at the water in the evening sun, had very good and very cheap wine, chatted now and then with the young lady, who had to put up everything outdoors for the evening. Soon we got some excellent bruschette (see picture) for free and reserved a table for the evening. We arrived at 8 p.m., changed table from out- to inside because it was getting cold. The restaurant is a cosy little typical italian pizzeria with warming fire in the pizza oven and full of happy, charming Italians, young and old, with and without children. We ordered Pizza Capricciosa and Pizza Diavolo which both where very well done: richly laid out, very tasty and not to thick not to thin. I took a very good orange semifreddo for desert. What we saw from adjacent tables, non pizza dishes where very inviting to. Service was again very friendly and quick and by no means stressed, allthough peolpe where cueing outside. The Pizzaiola a pleasure to look at while working. All in all an excellent place to be. Espescially of course in summer. We recommend it without any hesitation."

"Seven of us stayed at a hotel a few minutes drive from this restaurant. We are big foodies and really appreciate good quality, well cooked food and spend time researching and carefully selecting restaurants for lunch and dinner wherever we go in the world. We selected Tanit based on the great reviews and interesting menu. We should not have bothered! The owner, who apparently spent couple of years working in London, has obviously not picked up basic customer service skills from her time in the U.K. She appeared to show interest in our trip and offered to give us a contact number for a place we showed interest in. That was the last time we saw her at our table. We waited for very long time for our food (45 minutes for a slice of watermelon and coffees) and the table next to us, clearly local intalians, were served first even though they ordered after we did. No one asked us if we wanted another drink for an hour and we had to go and look for a waiter to order more water (it was steaming hot outside and our children were very thirsty). Compared to other restaurants in the area, this was really mediocre at best. The seafood pasta had two or three minuscule (clearly previously frozen) prawns and no more than five clams. My husband's steak (the most expensive dish on the meat menu) was practically inedible: very chewy and tasted of nothing. He left it all on the plate and none of the waiters bothered to enquire why he hasn't touched it. The owner was busy chatting to other tables occupied by those who would clearly come back and offer her repeat business, such as the local Italians. There are plenty of great restaurants around Santa Flavia and nearby Bagheria, many of them actually cheaper than this place. We obviously won't go back to a restaurant where the food is not worth chewing and the service one of the worst we have experienced in the world."
