"L'accueil est sympathique, on nous installe sur la terrasse fort agréable . Le menu à 23€ avec foie gras en entrée, confit de canard en plat et glace aux noix en dessert est très bien. La formule plat-dessert à 24€ est superbe: foie gras poêlé avec purée de carottes jaunes/pêches caramélisées/marmelade de pêches en plat; ganache chocolat/banane poêlée/mousse noix de coco en dessert . "Excellent address! delighted to have made the opening of the season this April for the end of our holidays! local dishes revisited with world flavours, local products, worked, refined cuisine. innovative! "Third visit in six years. No need for street maps, we hadn’t been since 2019 and couldn’t wait to visit as we had such wonderful memories from our previous visits so simply followed our inclinations soon found the the venue . The entrance was slightly off putting with four differently priced menus on an easel at the entrance gate, a bit tacky we thought. However the entrance was as we remembered although only four tables out of possibly 20 or more, so all a bit sparse. On our previous visits we were fortunate to get a table, so already I was questioning why ? Lovely inexperienced staff serving distinctly average food was my reasoning I thought quietly to myself. No class, no style and no imminent awards for amazing food that was once appreciated, replaced by a very average lunch for an unfortunate disappointing return… So sad. I did question if the place had new owners and the response was yes, one year ago. I wasn’t annoyed just sad and urge the new owners not to blame the economy for the lack of diners because as was evident word travels fast."

"What a beautiful surprise in the heart of the city of sarlat! the staff was simply adorable and very welcoming, the chef was more than happy with the idea of making us happy with vegetated dishes and the result was absolutely not disappointed. Away from there! a delicious bruschetta with local and seasonal vegetables, followed by a mediterranean vegan plaque with a ratatouille, a houmous, a börek with spinach and peas and a great salad!"

"Nous avons choisi ce restaurant parmis tant d'autres dans le centre de sarlat car il affichait le certificat d'excellence trip advisor. Quelle déception...... reçu sans un bonjour, serveuses à la limite de l'amabilité..... une table voisine a réclamé son dessert et la serveuse repart en soufflant en disant que les clients la font chi.... concernant l'assiette gourmande.... foie gras suant de la chaleur, terrine médiocre, cuisse confite et pomme salardaise acceptables.... je ne conseille pas cette adresse"

"The coffee isn 't bad, it 's just expensive for France and not very French....I asked for 'Un petit café et un café au lait, s 'il vous plait ' in my best French ! , only to have the woman correct me and say 'une espresso et une americano '.....and I thought I was in the 'French Coffee Shop '.....??!! Very strange....The two coffees in paper cups!! a Canelle and a donught set me back over EUR8. I wasn 't impressed....the coffee was ok, but I 've had better....and I don 't like wax paper cups...."

"We had a nice time in this restaurant where we ate very well. The cuisine is refined, full of flavour. Cassoulet for sir and coconut salmon bed for madam. We have tasted desserts as excellent corgeois chocolate and lemon pie. In addition the frame is very pleasant sober and refined with pink light and photos of the most beautiful places of the Dordogne. The must acceptance and reception reserved for our allies with surprise dessert for them. The servers were very pleasant and smiling. Perfect!"

"Ok ok. I know it doesn’t showcase the “regional cuisine” but after a long drive from the Loire Valley this place was right across the street from our hotel and boy did it deliver! It’s hot. There is AC. My mom and I shared a...giant salads and a plate of bolognaise. The food was simple and beyond delicious. The atmosphere is playful and laid back lots of really fun American oldies music. Service was great as well I spoke just enough French and our waitress spoke just enough English to get by and she checked in on us frequently enough without being overbearing."

"The restaurant offers takeout or eat in. We choose to eat inside the restaurant in the air conditioning. There is a limited choice of wine by the glass but the rose was nice. The food is pre-cooked and in a display fridge. It isn’t made fresh. We had a selection of skewers and pork nems to start. Both were very tasty. We had Cantonese rice, beef onion and a chicken curry for main course. The food was nice but quite bland. Probably better suited to a French palate! Decent quality for the price."

"We chose this restaurant as it looked inviting and the menu was extensive. We reserved a table for 8pm on a Saturday night but when we arrived they had no other customers. We should have taken that as warning! Initially the waiter was attentive and we ordered an aperitif,which came with no nuts or olives, which we are accustomed to, having lived in France for 15 years. Our food arrived and I had to request 2 glasses of wine as we had no drinks other than water. So the food.... I ordered moules/frites. The mussels were good and the chips home cooked which were great. However my husband 's steak, which he had requested as 'well done ' was stringy, fatty and raw in places. At no point were we asked if the meal was to our liking so when the plates were cleared we explained how awful the steak was and that it was mainly inedible. The waiter was apologetic but we were still given the bill for the full amount, which we reluctantly paid. I explained to the waiter, in French, that we have lived in France for 15 years and that was the worst steak we have been served. He looked surprised that we were not Brits on holiday and that we might actually know something about French cuisine. At no point did the chef come to speak to us. Just propped himself against the bar and looked indifferent to our complaints. We do not recommend!"

"We have had burgers here twice so far and still have 10 days left in Sarlat so will definitely return a few more times! The cheeseburgers are excellent good quality beef cooked to our preferred well done, with a toasted bun and lettuce and tomato. The fries are really good too. The couple who run it are really friendly and very hard working. Our apartment has a window that looks down at the burger stand so we can tell if they are open We love Sarlat and the many restaurants but sometimes we want a change from foie gras and truffles! These burgers and fries are perfect. They seem to be open until 10:30 or 11 at night so perfect for a late dinner. Try them you won’t regret it!"

"A nice little restaurant around the corner. The kitchen is not of high quality but it is very copied and original. I ate beef meat that I cook on a very hot stone. It's super nice as a principle. The local sweet white wine is excellent The waiter is very kind. Nevertheless, the lady exaggerated a bit by being on the gentleman's back. Anyway, the restaurant deserves more than its note! I recommend"
