"Don’t let the delicious sounding menu fool u this food was so underwhelming and seriously under seasoned. Everything had pepper but nothing had been salted. Rubbery plain chicken drizzle of watery sauce an didn’t even come with chips. It was so bland i dno how it gets 4 stars. Unless they r better with the pastas but even the chips had no salt. It looks like you’re gna get a refined meal it looks nice inside but wow what is everyone else ordering? Also we walked in asked if we wanted a drink b4 we even sat down so needed a sec to look at the menu they said il give u a min then forgot about us. Went to the bar to order drinks an told sit down someone will take the order. When the drinks order was put in we wanted to order the food right away and were told I can only do the drinks. Just felt like a really weird experience . Cudnt wait to leave. They gave a bit of a discount coz we didn’t eat it but it was only about 5-6 quid we worked out. Feel like I need compensation for wasting my night! I don’t do reviews but honestly the menu looks fab but the execution was terrible. Very disappointed. Had virtually the same meal in the Greek on south rd! An the difference is unreal the chicken in the Greek was moist an tasty the sauce was thick an flavoursome an wasn’t a stingy portion. My kids went this Italian weeks b4 with their dad and they all hated it but I wanted to try it myself thinking kids are fussy! Nope they were right! Save your money to somewhere you’ve already been before. X"

"So disappointed as we have previously left a review about two years ago that was nothing but praise. With the menu being reduced from when we last ordered, we assumed the quality of food must have improved since the kitchen could focus on what they excelled at; an assumption that turned out to be wrong. We ordered a superfood bowl and a Katsu bowl with a side of Mac n cheese and sweet potato fries to share. Katsu bowl severely lacked seasoning and flavour. Though the sauce was tasty, the rice was bland and the coating of the chicken was overdone. The superfood bowl felt like it was thrown together. We expected chicken breast slices, but instead got unappealing shredded chicken that looked hastily thrown on and, as a result of being kept under the heat lamp, was dry. The bowl was also missing avocado and feta, of which we had to ask the waiter if we could be given it which we were promptly. The issue is that the avocado given was simply put, chunks that were too big to eat and seemed to be a clear rush job rather than having any thought put into how we would eat it. The Mac n cheese was by far the biggest let down. The only flavour came from the cheese topping; the sauce and pasta itself were so bland and inoffensive it would have been more suited to feed a 4 month old. Sweet potato fries were arguably the best part of the meal. All other desserts outside of the brownie sundae were somehow unable to be boxed and taken home due to them being in, and I quote, glass dishes . As a result, our brownie sundae became a brownie square with some thin single cream which promptly went into our bin at home. To call it a sundae would be misleading, and despite eating out a fair few nights of the week we have never found a place that could not transfer a dessert from a dish to a take out box. Service was fine. No complaints. Will not be going back again. Utterly disappointed. This was supposed to be a celebratory meal and instead we have left feeling disheartened that a place we liked so much has slipped so far.
