"Amazing service and even better food. Had no clue what i was ordering yet i knew whatever i would get would meet all my demands and was delicious. The waiters were polite and had amazing services, and the whole presentation of the whole restaurant and food and how everything was served was phenomenal. Even better that the food is very affordable yet feels like i'm in a private restaurant which would cost hundreds of pounds. Would recommend for any event, should definitely try this restaurant."

"Came here today (Wed 3rd may) for a quick bit of lunch and a few drinks with my fiancée and mum. Had a really lovely afternoon, some cocktails, beers and rum and some really great food! Food portions were good and tasted fresh. I would recommend the slug and lettuce burger as it was great value for money for what was included. Servers were friendly and approachable and they also have a disabled toilet which was clean and usable. Would definitely go back at some point next time we are in the area."

"We used to bring our family to this restaurant all the time and would drive from Wimbledon specifically to do so as we enjoyed the atmosphere, customer service and food. unfortunately, all three aspects have really gone downhill. We recently moved back to the area in Dec 2021 and were really looking forward to going back to our favourite Turkish restaurant but we were really disappointed. Firstly we tried the takeaway and they got our order drastically wrong, we ordered a mix grill for two people what turned up was not even enough to satisfy a child's portion. We then gave them the benefit of the doubt and a week later went to the restaurant to eat. despite being excited by the much larger portion sizes in the restaurant (which was a bit of a shame to be so different from takeaway portions) I had to wait 45min for my main to not even arrive and when asked the waiter to take off my £6.50 service charge because I didn't even get my main meal, he just grunted ok and didn't even apologise in any way. He didn't even come and check on us when half the meals we served. on a table of four only two mains arrived and he could clearly see we only had two but we couldn't even get his attention to ask where our other meals were as he just sat on his phone watching very loud tiktocks for all to hear. In addition to the bad service, several bits of the chicken kebab we ordered were raw and chewy. To add insult to injury there was only one other table in the restaurant with a total of 6 people eattting in total"

"We had previously eaten here many years ago and didn’t think it was as good as our usual favourite Indian restaurant so have never returned. We tried again recently and had a really nice meal. It was a Saturday night and not that busy in the restaurant, we hadn’t booked in advance. It was very busy with online delivery orders though. The menu is large and really reasonably priced, with all the dishes you would expect being included. Our order was taken as soon as we were ready and our food arrived at a good pace. All food was served on super hot plates and dishes, which suited us as no heaters provided and our food stayed hot throughout the meal. The food was definitely a notch up from our last meal there, good portion sizes and well flavoured. Glad we gave Asia Tandoori another try, we will return again soon."

"my wife and I visited the first time a few years ago two years ago. before we had very good food and service. Unfortunately, as a restaurant, the pan has gone down. the door was out of order, so we had to. to enter over a sloppy back door. that should let the alarm bells ring. there were already a few on a table, but none of the others were taken. we were shown to a table and saw that next to us was not erased since the previous diners had gone. it was immediately obvious that the staff was overwhelmed by picking and delivery orders. When we looked around, we saw that the restaurant was ashamed and there were spinnwebs everywhere. it looked like they had been there for a long time. it needed a really good clean, but it looked like the restaurant was not a priority. we ordered a drink, appetizers and main courses and then waited, and waited, and waited. we talked to the other couple who was in at least 10 minutes before us. they also waited for her to eat. we got our drinks, but no eating appeared in about 25 minutes, for us or the other couple. however, the employees were flooded by telephone instructions, the tickets were dressed in full. we have decided enough to pay and leave for our drinks. the table next to us was not yet cleared. we remember to visit the employees of earlier and we felt very sorry because they are really nice people. Unfortunately, as with many other restaurants nowadays, the requirements for take-aways and deliveries are so great and the siam orchid has its day as restaurant."

"Excellent Italian. Kids took me for lunch we had starters, mains and youngest had ice cream bottle of wine and sparkling water. Fearing the dad pays bill syndrome I settled back and you know what the food was delicious service excellent and thoroughly enjoyable the occasion was. Now to the bill I searched my wallet and found £200 to settle up and was amazed at a £130 bill for 5 adults and 2 children. Fantastic. Will I go again you bet....I will. Thank you Vinoteca. From a relieved wallet."

"I’ve been using sunflower Chinese for many years now and I can say without a doubt they are one of the best out there. Tonight I thought I would try their squid, unfortunately it was very rubbery and didn’t taste very good and the portion size for the special house noodles was pretty poor, there was quarter of a pot of noodles and the rest was vegetables and some meat. The chicken balls and prawn toast were great, crispy and exactly how I like them, with good portion sizes. ‘Fried’ broccoli didn’t seem fried and was cold. The mixed vegetables were tasty. Delivery time was good and the driver was kind. Will use again but some improvement is needed."

"Ordered at 10:30, was initially told it would arrive past midnight fine. Order cancelled at 11:45 as the staff need to go home. I get that there can be a disconnect between delivery companies and restaurants but why would you accept the order if you knew it was going to extend past the time you were open? Bad communication from the app, even worse when I spoke to the restaurant, who hung up on me multiple times. Want to love this restaurant and was really excited to eat it tonight but I don't think ill bother next time."

"The greyhound has a lovely setting by the ponds, great you can park the car. But the food was very average. Particularly disappointing was the kids meals. The kids roast was ok, but the kids ‘fish and chips’ consisted of fish fingers rather than fish as you’d expect in ‘fish and chips’ and was such a tiny portion, 3 tiny fingers of fish. Not a vegetable in sight, no peas, no nothing, and it was £10! My 10 year old was disappointed, this was suited to perhaps a 5 year olds meal. If serving fish fingers, call it fish fingers. And serve something with it aside from just chips, too tight to add in some peas or beans it seems. Adult roasts again were average and ok, wouldn’t rush back, and so expensive. I had the pie, served in a bowl, with gravy at the bottom, chips swimming in the gravy and a pie sitting on top, impossible to cut and eat. Who serves a pie in a bowl and who wants chips under a pie swimming in gravy. Just weird. Sticky toffee for desert was a good portion and tasty but the lemon meringue tart, although delicious, was such a tiny tiny slice! More a slither. The bill for 5 of us was £163, that’s with 1 Guinness and 3 soft drinks, plus food of 5 mains (2 of which were kids meals! and 5 deserts plus 2 starters. 3 adults and 2 kids. Standard of food does not live up to the price tag. Service was good though! But I’d advise checking out other local establishments first, both for price and quality. It was also 4 degrees outside and they had the air con on rather than any heating. They did turn it off when asked but it remained cold in there."

"The restaurant offers a fantastic atmosphere paired with excellent service. Price per person is between £30 and £40. I would rate the food a solid 5, the service also gets a 5, and the atmosphere is equally deserving of a 5. I highly recommend trying the English Breakfast!"

"the restaurant as our usual the grange was completely booked. it was a Saturday night, and we were the only 2 people we thought was something strange? we were greeted by a very friendly and friendly young girl. we ordered a beer and a mango leti bee came on, but we were informed later that the kitchen could not knock on a mango letis. we ordered a mixed grill between us for starter the menu description indicated that it contains a nan, huhn tikka, kebab, windshield wiper and another type of huh. after 50 minutes we wait several inquiries and about 15 minutes later the owner came with a sad looking sizzling plate that only a few bits of chopped chicken tikka lamb kebab, he said "here make a start on this"! we asked where the others were dinge and he said that the nan soon get this first”! when we said about the disc and other chickens, he called aggressive and loud: “You did not order the distributor.” we told him that it was on the menu description and he denied it! So we asked him to read the menu before us, and when he saw that we were right, he began to murmur something about someone else who wrote and stormed the menu! the unfortunate waitress who stood close, apologised to behave. she was full of embarrassment. we told her that it wasn't her fault, but we really couldn't stay after it and she said that she understood completely and didn't expect us to pay for the drinks and 2 parpages we had. my man and I were really on a beautiful evening and good eating and instead the owner ruined it with his inability, bad attitude and greed he was clearly prioritizing phone orders over the 2 of us in the restaurant. it's a shame that if the place was renovated, it's not! I think his daughter, who runs the kitchen with him, but not this evening, would most likely be appalled by his shameful behavior. we will not return."

"I have visited this restaurant twice. It is located on the right side if you are coming from Carshalton, approximately the second bus stop after leaving Wallington High Street. It is definitely worth getting off the bus for. The Mutton Rolls are excellent starters, priced at only 90p each. They are breadcrumbed potato tubes filled with mutton bits in a spicy sauce. The Sri Lankan Chicken and Sri Lankan Mutton dishes (priced at £5.30 and £5.90 respectively) had very flavorful, possibly roasted, curry sauce that was more interesting than traditional Indian curry sauces. They were hot but not too spicy. The chicken is served bone-in and the mutton is indeed chewy but has a good flavor. Both times I visited were in the mid to late evening on weekdays, and there was a constant flow of takeout orders from local Sri Lankans, but there were plenty of free tables available."

"what a terrible service change. persistent attitude and behavior of the personal. he waited for over 40 minutes to eat. I can never imagine sitting for 40 minutes and waiting to be served to eat. had gone out. at the complaint of the manager had the worst answer and attitude. he wanted to fight and have a kind of job. told me not to worry about it and keep living with it. So here's my suggestion for everyone. drive to tooting. only 15 minutes. much more possibilities and can go to this type of employment. I have visited lahore spices since it is open, always order takes away and delivery. yes, they always take time, but the quality and service are not what it was earlier....read more"

"Despite its outdated decor, the restaurant's great food shines through. A friend introduced me to this place and I loved the flavorful and unforgettable dishes. I returned with other friends who also enjoyed the food. The only challenge is that if you're not familiar with Chinese or Malaysian cuisine, you might have trouble navigating the extensive menu. However, the quality of the food makes it a good value and stands out from typical cheap Chinese takeout places. It's a shame that only takeout is available currently, as meals taste best when they're fresh out of the kitchen. Hopefully, we can dine in again soon."

"We've had lunch at Oaks Park Cafe a few times over the years after visits to Mayfield Lavender Farm. It's unlikely we'll return, sadly, as the focus on dogs has become excessive, in our view. We're not dog owners but I understand those with dogs generally love it. The food is OK and the pricing is very reasonable. We had kids hot meals and a jacket potato which were fairly good. We also ordered an all-day-breakfast which was fair. The building has been extended and is nice, with plenty of outside seating too. The service at the counter was good/friendly, but the table service was no more than adequate. This cafe is overtly dog friendly, to the extent that it has a display of dog treats/toys right opposite the food counter. It's clearly popular with dog walkers and there were numerous dogs inside. We found that it smelled of dog. Even on a dry day with doors/windows open the dog aroma was noticeable and this really spoiled our enjoyment of the food. It's also not ideal if you have children who aren't keen on dogs, for obvious reasons."

"1st time out with hubby we phoned to book a table, . all booked for 7.00 pm. On arriving was greeted fine . My husband ordered a San Miquel when it arrived it was so cloudy my husband sent it back no problem changed to...bottle Stella . I ordered a Mushroom cheese burger my husband had a Jackpot so it was called.. The food was OK eatable but wouldn't say they are totally the best burgers . I finished left some on my plate, the young girl who was polite went to take my plate and onion rings that was in the bowl even though my husband was still eating....... Well this was the biggest shock ..... I went to the toilet they look like they need a good clean. Hole in the ceiling. Went to pull the chain but it wouldn't flush so left it. Then ..... went to wash my hands no water .... surprised there was handwash I used that with toilet paper to open the door which again needs some attention. When I got back to my table I spoke with the I presume Manager who said yes its been like that and nobody turned up ....... .. come up with some story about it .. I then said that why hadnt a note been put up... suddenly the two young girls were writing a note .... then cellotape it to the door ... Obviously we asked for the bill and left.... the Manager did apologise...I I wouldn't go back there. One more note if you r between 17 23 you would love the Music .... Unhappy customer ."

"Steak served to perfection. The ambience and service were top notch. We had Steak Wine then decided to stay longer for a bottle of wine and cheeseboard. The manager was friendly and attentive. It feels really welcoming and relaxing with the nice ambience. Perfect relaxing Tuesday evening as I was lazy to cook anyway. Glad that I went out and decided to stop by here for an impromptu dinner. Thank you"

"First things first, this is an expensive pub. It’s part of Young’s chain and as that it, looks like most other establishments of said chain. Don’t get this wrong, it’s as cosy, clean and in good condition as any other Young’s, this comes at a literal price, however. The food and beer are pricey so much, that I can even say they’re overpriced. The food portions are rather on the smallish side. Taste wise I do not see any reason to justify the expense. Out of the couple of times I have attended the place,I can remember two occasions rather distinctly. Once I had the dish from my plate spilt on me by the waiter, and a second time the meat was quite noticeably overcooked. Beer and cider prices are, like I said before, horrendous."
