"Visited Harry's Bistro because the big brother, Harry's Piccolo was closed. We were seated outside. Staff is a bit stiff but still friendly. €95 for a 5 course tasting menu is a bit expensive, we did not take a wine coupling but were advised well on a bottle of local white. Dishes were small an if it hadn't been for the quite heavy desert we would have left with hunger. Ceviche with coconut curry was mainly sour with curry in the distance, really not nice at all. Luckily this was the worst of the dishes, only way from here is up. Green risotto was quite nice and surprising next we had the black cod with Jerusalem artichokes. This was small and not very exciting. The Fish pot was very nice, extrovert flavours and big enough to pass as a menu course. Desert was disappointing but large so we wouldnt be hungry. All and all not at all the niveau we expected from Harry's and not at all worth the money. Much better eateries available in Trieste. Advice to skip."

"Nice place! People there were really nice and accommodating. We order the Vegan Brunch, and even if it is a bit expensive, it was delicious. My son ordered eggs and bacon, and my daughter eggs and cheese and they were super happy. Then they have a quite wide selection of vegan dessert. For a place that is not vegan, it has excellent and delicious vegan options. I recommend it!"

"Since we 've discovered this little gem in the very downtown of Trieste, we don 't bother searching for an alternative. The owners are taking care for fresh ingredients. They offer seafood in a different way with some experiments, but they don 't let them take too far, so you allways know and taste what you 're eating. Usually it 's best to be counseled by the owner and we 've never been disappointed. Last time I had the best octopus salad ever... They offer a wide variety of wines, including the biological ones from Slovene producers in Italian side of Carso and Collio regions. Among them orange (coloured wines, as well. Superb olive oil from Croatia (northern Istria and the famous salt from Piran nicely conclude the spirit of Trieste that has allways been a multi-cultural city with mainly italian-slovene-croatian-austrian notes with a touch of cosmopolitans (Byron, J. Joyce etc. who stopped there for a while. Service is also very good and the owner eager to explain and consult. Definitely worth the money you spend there."

"I warmly recommend Zushi to fellow vegans! We had a great evening there, they have tasty vegan miso soup, takito, a selection of vegan sushi rolls (with asparagus and tofu and almond, with tomato, with wakame, with tofu and with avocado) which we shared (we are a couple). The atmosphere in on the terrace was also nice and the waiters were SO nice! We had a sake on the house just because we had to wait too long for it."

"we consumed pizza in this long channel site restaurant, great location outside the boats are moored a few meters from our table, you can enjoy the evening breeze. "I ordered a risotto and was guaranteed that it was free of gluten and lactose. Half-way through the meal I got incredible stomach ache and got terribly sick. Despite telling the staff they continued to insist that the food was ok. Had to pay for the meal and was extremely sick for over a week. I would never risk going there again as I have celiac disease which is a very serious disease and each intoxication is damaging the intestines. Very dissapointed."

"Sono stato qui con la mia famiglia domenica scorsa. un po' dubbioso dopo aver letto le ultime recensioni, decidiamo di provare già a conoscere il posto e ad essere sempre stato soddisfatto. ha avuto anche questa volta non avete negato l'antipasto completo e l'antipasto misto caldo eccezionale (in particolare fantastico merluzzo, scallops idem, e gamberetti su salsa per portare il risotto indimenticabile x grande e molto abbondante- gelato artigianale (si consiglia vivamente pistacchio) che batte zampolli! mille squisite foglie e torta al cioccolato, bella anche nella presentazione del piatto alla posizione semplicemente bella, super vista e ambiente luminoso. Caposala molto gentile e disponibile, anche per quanto riguarda le intolleranze alimentari. avvisando che ero celiaco, hanno adattato il mio caldo antipasto misto sostituendo le sardine in assaporazione e le capesante scalloped con scallops eccellenti e canestrelli in ferries. Sono stato rassicurato che il risotto era senza glutine (in realtà non ero male), e potrei godere di un grande gelato. Prezzi online, infatti molto onesti considerando le quantità delle porzioni (molto apprezzate solo nei dettagli, come il caposala era solo e la stanza era piena, attirando l'attenzione di tanto in tanto sembrava difficile, ma davvero l'unico difetto. P.s toilette della camera molto pulita! Grande in generale, torneremo!"

"for me it was the first time in Trieste, me and my partner jumped first because we were so hungry and we were immediately very well. very kind staff, we ate very well, super honest prices. the next day, after visiting two museums and after being really late, we made an attempt, we entered to see if they could take us lunch despite the really late hour and they greeted us with an immense kindness, even at this lunch we were not disappointed, indeed! great food, good choice of fine beers and wines, this trip to Trieste is definitely the place I will take in the heart, thanks to all!"

"Non avevamo prenotato ma ci hanno trovato un posto all’interno del locale, che è grazioso. Sono disponibili anche posti all’esterno.Antipasto nella norma, buono. Il primo alici e finocchietto selvatico era buonissimo, così come le vongole. Anche la pizza era molto buona. Apprezzato anche il bianco fermo. Piatti che saziano come sapore e quantità. With the friends, after 30' we finished our drinks the waiter placed a note that the table we were sitting at was reserved in half an hour. Ridiculous. "Si mangia bene. La pizza è condita molto bene ed è anche buona, pur avendo un impasto non eccezionale: la crosta infatti risulta essere un po’ gommosa e difficile da masticare. Gli altri piatti della cucina sono comunque buoni e presentati bene. Il servizio (domenica a pranzo) è stato piuttosto snello e la cosa è stata molto apprezzata. Il fatto che stia dando stelle su è per le seguenti motivazioni: -I menù (stampati su una sorta di carta plastificata) erano molto sporchi ed appiccicosi. -Il cameriere (un ragazzo sui anni) era vestito con pantaloni della tuta e una felpa con cappuccio, completamente fuori luogo. -la pizza, come già detto, non merita stelle ma (ciò non vuol dire che non sia buona Tutto sommato è un posto in cui si mangia bene. Spero che le mie critiche vegano prese come spunto per migliorare e non come delle offese."

"Everything about our visit was excellent. The staff was friendly, food was extraordinarily good (even for Italy) and the ambiance was perfect. We had starters to share (carpaccio and burrata) my favorite part of the meal. Most had chicken for the main course and one had gnocchi all very good. And even though there was absolutely no room left we enjoyed the limoncello dessert and the New York cheesecake. All in all a fabulous meal at a very reasonable price. Should we have wished for anything else it would be an extra waiter as the restaurant was busy."

"This place does something different to the wide range of pasta, pizza and seafood done so well elsewhere in Trieste; it celebrates the wide and diverse culture of food in the area. The meat and cheese sharing platter was probably the best we'd ever had, and the schnitzel and baked ham hock were superb. We opted for a salad side as there had been bread with the starter what a salad! It could have been a main in its own right. It also had a wide range of wines and beers the house red was particularly good. As it was far from full we had the opportunity to chat with the chef/owner a thoroughly engaging chap whose passion for the cuisine of the region was wonderful. Thoroughly recommended and very very good value a real find!"

"This spot was recommended by our local business colleagues and did not disappoint. The menu is small, but what they have was well prepared. Most people ordered the beef tartare for appetizer, but we also ordered one of the meat and cheese plates. I ordered the puff pastry with zucchini and pancetta over Montasio cheese. It was excellent. Photo attached. Someone had the grilled gnocchi and it looked very good. Others ordered the beef dishes from Argentina. I had the sliced beef with asparagus and I enjoyed it. Other options included grilled chicken, pork loin and pork ribs, among others. I saw no seafood on the menu as I can recall. The wine list was extensive and we selected a couple of local varieties. All were quite good. Service was attentive and I liked the ambience of the restaurant. Stone arches and dark wood with walls lined by wine cabinets had a medieval feel."
