"This new restaurant is a welcome addition to the slightly upscale dining scene in the area. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of service, especially considering how new the staff seemed to be. The interior is beautifully decorated with high-end fixtures and fittings, including a separate bar area separated from the main dining room by a double-sided fireplace. The selection of beers was impressive, although all were on the stronger side. The daily menu offered a variety of dishes, though oddly lacking in chicken options. The wine list was good and reasonably priced, with our choice of a pink, dry rosé at £22 being a great value. The food continued to impress, with a delicious pork dish and a generous portion of Hake, although slightly oversalted for my wife's taste. The mains were reminiscent of the sister pub, the Cornish Arms, but more generous in portion sizes. Overall, the service was exceptional and the food was above average, especially for a newly opened restaurant. We are excited to become regulars at this establishment."
