"Our hotel is near the Gare de Cornavin (Geneva's main train station), and La Matze is in a string of restaurants just off the public square outside the railway station. There was quite a selection of restaurants - Lebanese, Mexican, Italian, Chinese ... but we liked the look of - and the menu of - this restaurant.My wife and I had the cheese and mushroom, in the pot kept hot at your table with a little burner, supplied with a basket of broken bread and long forks. It was tasty and filling - a good portion for 2. We washed it down with lashings of Aperol Spritz."

"Ich möchte auch hinzufügen, dass sie kundenorientiert sind. Einmal habe ich „Fondue Chinoise“ bestellt, und es war mir zu salzig. Ich bin mir sicher, dass sie es geändert hätten, wenn ich mich beschwert hätte, aber ich habe nur am Ende gesagt, und erstaunlicherweise hat mir der Maître ein Dessert aufs Haus angeboten, um den salzigen Geschmack zu mildern. Außerdem informierte er sofort den Koch, die Menge an Brühe in Zukunft zu reduzieren (so habe ich es verstanden, war das die Ursache für den salzigen Geschmack). Das war sehr nett von ihm. Dieses Restaurant ist wahrscheinlich der Ort, an den ich am häufigsten gehe. Es ist schön gelegen, ganz in der Nähe der Straßenbahnlinie 12 und in der Nähe des Schwimmbads von Thonex, das ich ebenfalls mag. :)))"

"Als Paar haben wir ein lokales Fondue-Restaurant recherchiert und uns aufgrund guter Bewertungen hier für L’Amitie entschieden. Bei unserer Ankunft war es leer und die Besitzer waren draußen beim Rauchen. Im Restaurant roch es stark nach Zigaretten, sodass wir ernsthaft darüber nachdachten zu gehen. Wir blieben jedoch aufgrund einer kürzlich guten Bewertung auf Trip Advisor und weil wir wirklich lokales Fondue genießen wollten. Es gab kein Lächeln oder Engagement bezüglich des Services. Fast hätten wir uns entschuldigt, dass wir sie von ihrem Bier und ihrer Zigarette abgehalten haben. Wir bestellten ein Bier und auf schlechtem Französisch sagten wir, dass wir Fondue in Betracht zogen. Ein Teller mit Fleisch und Brot kam und wir dachten, dass dies vielleicht eine kostenlose Vorspeise sei, die wir mit unserem Bier genießen könnten, während wir unsere Hauptgerichtsentscheidung abschließen....aber dann kam der Käse und das war das ganze Fondue. Der Käse und das Fleisch waren gut, aber wir dachten, es würde vielleicht mit Kartoffeln oder einer Auswahl an Fleisch kommen, wie es die Fotos nahelegten. Insgesamt waren wir etwas unbeeindruckt und fühlten uns unwillkommen, und dann kam eine größere Rechnung als erwartet, wodurch wir etwas verärgert gingen (das Fleisch war auf dem Käse und nicht noch einmal CHF24 wert, wenn wir dachten, es sei eine Vorspeise). Vielleicht haben wir sie an einem schlechten Tag erwischt. Vielleicht hätten wir klarer bestellen sollen und besser wissen sollen, was uns erwartet. Leider war es ein sehr enttäuschender Abend."

"RUN AWAY … After an average reception the unfriendly tenants no empathy in view of the unappreciated meal. We were insulted by big..... and bad customers who only thought of taking advantage of not paying while screaming: it's False, we never left without paying even if we didn't like it but, It was just a normal reaction from disappointed customers; They never wanted to say how the ordered menus were prepared (because I have allergies to certain ingredients: I don't have to say my medical history: right? I insisted: I was told that it was very good, and that it was the chef's secret style! When I saw my Perch fillets cooked in broth and with a sauce that covered everything, an orange color to vomit, believe me the vision of the dish was nothing compared to its taste... They supposedly had to be fried! They salt the dishes too much without asking the customers, do not offer bread and charge us 82CHF for a refused dish and a horse steak with a minimum of garnish and charge a spoonful of sauce at 4.50CHF, an exorbitant price for an inn that is not even star rated. … We were thrown out like trash for insulting us and being racist, even though I'm more Swiss than them! incredible prejudice and bad faith. Coming from a family of restaurateurs, I have never met Thénardiers like this. FYI: the photos on the site do not represent reality, everything is manufactured and arranged to look good, which is not the case, according to several reviews in the canton! I won't explain everything, it would take too long... The story won't end there... I have relationships, and they don't admit that they're waiting for them, I had a bad evening and a bad night but that's nothing compared to the damage that they will suffer, that's it. For this site, obliged to rate 1 star which is not even worth it."

"Wir waren gestern in Restaurant chez Ida und hatten ein 3-Gang-Menü im vornherein bestellt. Die Vorspeise und der Hauptgang waren sehr schwach gesalzen und geschmacklich enttäuschend. Der Hauptgang bestand aus 3 Lammkoteletts und 2 Shitake Pilzen und einem kleinen Bohnenboquet. Die Stärkebeilage hat gefehlt daher mussten wir noch zusätzlich eine Portion Frites bestellen. Zum Dessert gab es ein Tarte Tatin. Unserer Meinung nach war dieses Dessert weit entfert von einem Tarte Tatin. Fazit: Kein gelungenes 3-Gang-Menü. Schade."

"Wir sind aufgrund der hervorragenden Bewertungen auf Ihrer Website in dieses Café zum Mittagessen gegangen. Die Realität war jedoch, zumindest was unsere Erfahrung betrifft, ganz anders. Kaum angekommen, wurden wir angestarrt und mustergültig betrachtet, als hätten wir die Tür zur Hölle geöffnet, während eine Gruppe Betrunkener an der Bar saß. Der Service, der von einem völlig überforderten Mädchen geleistet wurde, das keine Ahnung von ihrem Job hatte, war miserabel. Ich musste sogar an die Bar gehen, um meine Bestellung aufzugeben. Was das Essen betrifft, war auch hier die Enttäuschung groß: fade Zanderfilets, geschmacklose Burger, ein völliges Fiasko. Der einzige positive Aspekt war die Größe der Portionen. Also ideal für hungrige Menschen ohne Ansprüche..."

"I love the Ferrage. In my opinion it is the best restaurant in the Port de Soleil and one of the hidden pearls in Switzerland. We go there several times a summer - as a couple, with our kids, with friends and business guests. The food is homemade though so dont expect a quick meal. The menu is typical mountain food with the welcome addition of grilled meat skewers and lovely homemade desserts, and the best homemade fries you can imagine. The local cheese they use (Champso!) is among the best in Switzerland. Try the fondue with wild garlic. The view of the Dent du Midi is world class. It's true that the service can be a bit slow, but they are super friendly, and if you are in a rush, you can walk up to the bar and gently expedite the situation. They are also dog friendly."
