"So, this place was a happy find for me and my wife. We wandered around the castle of Udine and hoped to find a decent dinner. Most places on our way only saw the same with all these 100 items menus and ugly pictures with lucrative prices. And then I took a leap of faith with the search for a highly rated restaurant with most mixed audience reviews. Here we are, 1921 Ristorantino. 10 minutes brought us here, sit and felt welcome. Location is very good: it is close to all central attractions, but it is a pretty street hidden from random visitors (as we are in many ways, but our intentions and efforts have made us less random). The design and feeling of 1921 Ristorantino are both very suitable for its name: you feel that era in both decorative things (like an old gramophone, if I don't mistake), in tables, chairs and even wallpapers. Nevertheless, there is a good part of the new elements that are well integrated and associated with the old ones, which makes the overall feeling good and appropriate for a work business as a whole. Staff was very nice and helpful, although I had to use all my poor Italian to get us the desired food. Our waiter was not insulted with my pronunciation, my accent and a ton of grammar errors (which is by itself a performance), and was kind enough to help me fix. The food. Was the best for this whole 2 weeks trip (and I was in a Michelin Star restaurant recently so the competition was high). I had 1921 Lemm, this is a wonderful hamburger with potato fries (not my taste for seeing it was a long and cool day). The burger was tender and juicy and, what is very important for me, was not superfluous only a genuine meat taste. And I wanted to order this bread for a lifetime subscription. Both the Burgerbunk and the bread basket. Served with a pure cream butter, it was an absolute pleasure for my taste buds and my brain, sent me back to these carefree childhood days in the village when all these tastes and smells were what defined the best food in the world. Worth mentioning is the house Spumante 1921: light, young and playful, it was what you expect and desire from a glittering Friulian (not sure it is right from here, but a close Miss at least) vine. For 2.5€ this glass is a stealing period. I'm just gonna give you a tip: The pear. Try it. I will not tell you secrets, just a few facts: it is a marinated pear, an interesting ice cream and they are happy and passionately married by sources and sweet crumbs. We had a wonderful dinner. For 2 persons with a vine, it was €44 (including the €2 per person cover fee) that I suspect to pay a reasonable price for a dinner at this point and an excellent price, considering the overall quality of this dinner and our satisfaction levels. Ristorantino 1921 is a top destination in Udine to have a great dinner."

Posto giovane e elegante. Riservato in una piccola corte e in un contesto storico a poche centinaia di metri dal Castello di Udine. Non è economicissimo ma nemmeno molto caro per chi cerca piatti anche un po' ricercati e di buona/ottima qualità. Vengono serviti anche vini locali di qualità con un buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Consigliato!

Small place and center in a side street I didn't even know about existence. . excellent menu both of meat and fish with combinations and from the menu I will seem to the acknowledged, but to the palate are really discovered... the price not cheap, but in line with the quality it offers, do not go to make worker menu:-D ..but for a lunch or special dinner is perfect. . Small place and downtown in a side street I didn't even know about existence. . excellent menu both of meat and fish with combinations and from menu I will seem to the how much azzardati, but to the palate are really discoveries... the non-economic price, but in line with the quality it offers, do not go to make worker menus :-D ..but for a special lunch or dinner is perfect. .

Very well maintained, elegant and welcoming. The selection of dishes is of quality and excellently presented. We chose the risotto of sea (out of menu as a dish of the day), the meat of fish frying and the octopus with potatoes and taggiasche olives, the latter fresh and abundant. Very good desserts too. A few steps from the wonderful Liberty Square, a corner of quiet and good food.
