An experience! Interesting interior. Medieval style. Nice view from outside and good service. Amazing starters and good cold cuts and cheese. Our main courses was so so. More so that we ordered something we nessecerly didn't like personally. I would opt on pizza or a steak

I haven't been a castellana for years, and I have to say that I remembered it much better. attention is not consumed badly at all, but the quantities have reduced considerably, is that due to the fixed Easter lunch menu? I don't know, but the chestnut came to get the real food of the past, now or at least this time I feel like I don't say it anymore. always super rustic environment, very helpful staff, but food absolutely on average. Me, my family and our dog had a lovely evening with magnificent views and great food. We ordered Pizzotti for starters and then we took meat, pasta and side dishes. Everything was excellent especially the peppered meat!! For desert we took homemade Tiramisu which was to die for!!! Even the house wine was delicious. One of my daughters is vegan and the staff was very kind to cater to all her demands and helped her choose. Truly a memorable dinner night in relaxed but beautiful surroundings overlooking the Valley of Lago Rosamarina with the Castle looming mystically on top of the hill.

My friends and I had dinner here and it was a truly delightful experience. I tried both the house white and red and would gladly order them again. Everyone was very happy with their orders, which varied across the menu. I ordered the sampler, which the waiter said was for “one.” Now, I’m a big guy and could eat half of what they brought. Not a problem though, as it was delicious and I had a full meal to take home. The appetizers were fantastic from the meats to the bruschetta. All dishes had wonderful flavor and we were sharing across the board. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back or to recommend this spot.

After being a customer of this restaurant since end 2018 on a regular basis, yesterday was the last time we dined at La Castellana. The staff has a hard time smiling and are not welcoming (we ordered in Italian, so there was no language issue of not understanding). We had pizza, although tasty, the crust was hard as rock and very difficult to cut. When we mentioned this to the waiter he shrugged. There was no response from his supervisor (we saw the waiter telling him, but no reaction). Our conclusion is that there are many other pizzerias around where you’re served with a smile and that’s where we’ll be going in future. Speisekarte ansehen

We stayed in Caccamo and visited the restaurant twice. If I was writing the review after the first time, it would be 5 stars without a doubt. The food (veal rolls, sausage, pizza was delicious, the service was fast (which is not for granted in Italy! , the cannoli for dessert were exceptional. There is a menu in English with a lot of local specialities. The staff speaks basic English, so we can talk to them in a mix of English and Italian. However, when we visited again couple of days later, everything was much worth. We ate here twice over a period of two weeks and I am not sure why. It was relatively convenient for us and the first time I wondered why our experience was so different from those mentioned on TripAdvisor but having eaten there twice I have to say the experience was the same both times. So the service is pretty appalling. Apart from the man who takes your order, most of the waitresses are rude including slamming down drinks and generally looking sullen. The view was great, magnificent lightning. First look would give you the impression of an eays and relaxed atmosphere eventhough the chairs were made of plastic. But the relaxed atmosphere didn’t last long. We had only been there for 20 minutes when the staff started to remove table cloths etc. We felt we had to be in a hurry. One waiter spoke okay English, the rest spoke English so-so. A lot of misunderstandings. We choose a platter with different fried things.
