"We discovered this fabulous restaurant while staying at the Pazo de Esponsende for our anniversary in November, it was only 10 minutes away and the owner of the Pazo kindly drove us there. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and cosy, housed in an 18th century building and surrounded by gardens and vineyards and the waiters and Maitre Di were a delight. Sometimes when I go to Michelin or Repsol recommended restaurants the service is always a bit stuffy and formal and I find it quite awkward, here it was very relaxed and happy and we had a good laugh with the staff. The food was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble and when we mentioned we would be sharing all our plates they offered to split each dish onto separate plates, which were beautifully presented and still rather generous portions. When we couldn’t decide on a bottle of red or white wine to accompany our meal the Maitre De recommended that we have a glass of local Ribeiro with our starters and then a red with the other dishes, good decision. The stars of the show were the Duck egg with Truffles, the roasted baby pig leg with apple sauce and the Deer with chestnut cream and a small jug of coffee sauce, I’m still salivating at the memories. Desserts were yummy and followed by local Gallego liqueres. The whole experience was wonderful and made our anniversary very special and the total of 108 euros seems like a bargain to me. Considering you pay around 60 euros for a lunch in a normal restaurant in Santiago these days this was on another level. We will definitely be back. Thanks to all the team."

"No sabíamos donde ir a comer y llegamos de casualidad y sin reserva... La amabilidad del personal fue maravillosa desde el primer buenos días ... Cuando nos indican nuestra mesa, descubrimos su tesoro escondido: la terraza! Es muy agradable, al lado del río... De noche con sus luces... Mucho encanto. Y obviamente la comida a la altura de todo lo que ya estábamos disfrutando. Todo rico, fresco, cuidado y con mucho sabor. Muy agradecidos por toda la experiencia."

"Hemos pedido 4 raciones para dos personas, para comer. La ensalada templada, esta especial, de lo que más me ha gustado. El pulpo muy bueno aunque algo escasa (será que estaba muy muy buen9) las zamburiñas, estaban muy buenas según mi mujer, buenas a secas para mi. Y la carne con pimentón y patatas, un poco dura. Buena de sabor, pero sin más. El ambiente muy buen chaval, el que nos atendió. Atento en todo momento y el lugar idílico. Postre ... arroz con leche, mi mujer dice que bueno, yo... no frío ni calor. Mi mujer lo hace mejor, pero vamos lugar totalmente recomendable y para repetir e ir probando toda la carta. Todo súper casero y con muy buen sabor"
