Afternoon Tea At Bedford Lodge

We order the light version sandwiches filling was nearly none existent in some of the sandwiches bread was dry everthing else was nice again service good

Just been for an afternoon tea it was lovely great attention to detail and lovely staff I have had afternoon tea a lot of places and this one rates right up amongst one of the best better than the Ritz in London

My daughters, my mum and myself went for afternoon tea to celebrate my 60th birthday. What a lovely place. Wonderful afternoon tea (we upgraded with champagne) more than enough to eat. Friendly staff and very helpful. My daughter has some dietary problems which they catered for. We had to take some cakes home as we couldn’t manage to eat them all. It was a special occasion, as I don’t see my best friend from Yorkshire very often. We started with a chilled glassof very good Prosecco and progressed to a wonderful spread of sandwiches, scones and cakes. One of thebest Afternoon Teas we have had for a while. Only criticism would be the portion size by the time we had eatenscones with jam and cream we could hardly nibble the delicious spread of cakes. Wow guys it was

Well service and food good friends had booked. But very disappointed as I had ordered light afternoon tea as I dont like cake)one and one friend had ordered full afternoon tea We had 8 finger sandwiches I said are these mine No they are between you both So I had 4 sandwiches and 1 cake that 's fine I don 't like cake but 4 finger sandwich it 's a joke Plenty of cakes for full afternoon tea so much so doggy bag provided. I should have ordered restaurant meal. Good service plenty of tea and Gentleman choice good

I went for a lovely afternoon tea this afternoon with a friend. The service was efficient with very polite and welcoming staff. The food was delicious and freshly prepared, what we didn’t eat we were allowed to take home. I have a soft spot for Bedford Lodge, having married here 12 years ago, the hotel has only got better and better! Never had a bad experience. The hotel is modern but sympathetic to its heritage, the staff have always been exceptional and I never hesitate to book here! I will continue to visit over the coming years. Speisekarte ansehen

Lovely setting in the orangerie, nice table decoration. Service was good but not overly attentive. I am a regular customer at the Bedford Lodge hotel but would not return for an afternoon tea unless the quality is improved. Please, please propose a more suitable selection of cakes ! Stolen, scones, fruit cake, orange cake, enormous sausage roll, thick sandwiches which more bread than filling. Sadly you have to drink a gallon of tea to go through it. Should be advertised as An Afternoon tea for two hungry men No fine patisserie there I am afraid.

I have had a lot of afternoon tea's, all over the country and also in Cambridge- most are over prized and disappointing. But not the tea at Bedford lodge hotel- it is simply perfect! Staff are friendly and inviting, everything is clean- high tea is served beautifully and the handmade cakes are like little pieces of art- there so pretty, you don't want to eat them! Scones are freshly made, soft, warm and delicious and you get two rather then one, you pay the same in some places in Cambridge and only get given one! Home made everything including lemon curd which is YUMMY! good servings and lovely drinks. sandwiches were fresh and didn't taste old or stale like in so many other places. The best...

We chose the afternoon tea option, but it arrived without milk or sugar. It took two different servers before any milk and sugar was provided. When the sandwiches arrived, the server offered to make changes if we didn't like any of them. I requested a change, but my sandwich ended up being the same as everyone else's. There were some issues with the bread being dry and the fillings being scant. However, the sausage roll was delicious. The cakes arrived after the sandwiches, and they looked very nice. Unfortunately, the scones were terrible as they were over-kneaded, heavy, and very overcooked. This was the most disappointing part of the experience. The setting of the restaurant was lovely,...
