The New Wellington - Speisekarte

Visited 31/07 and thoroughly enjoyed our meals, big portions and were tasty. Georgina was lovely and already planning on returning, p.s the homemade desserts are so good!

What a great pub! Exceeded expectations and more : outstanding waitress Sophie and 2 ladies behind bar including land lady. Chef catered to our needs and beyond! Well done team Wellington

Went for yet another fantastic meal, it was Sunday Lunch for the both of us. A day off from cooking for my wife. Everything was great I had the lamb and Sue had beef plus starters. All beautifully cooked and very generous portions. Service and staff very friendly. Their weekday menu is varied and excellent.

From the outside this pub looks nothing special but once in the restaurant its very different. Excellent choices on the menu , decor clean and inviting. Staff were lovely- attentive but not over the top. we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the crunchie cheesecake was sublime . Will definitely visit again

We had not been to the Wellington for a while. What you wont get is an expensive gastro meal, but what you do get is a a very good home made and competitively priced Sunday Roast, can recommend the Roast Beef, Pork and Vegetarian option. Don't miss out on the home made puds. Dog friendly in the bar but not restaurant

really enjoyed the food had fish and chips and the salmon both meals were well portioned, well presented and judging from other places within re-opening of the hospitality industry this pub came above all we have been to so far, especially the service, which was why we tipped the waitress which we hope it went to her.

We booked for a Saturday evening following the Horseracing. The pub was very busy but the restaurant itself was very quiet. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The menu was very good. Such a nice dilemma when you don’t know what to choose. In the end we had a steak pie and a chicken breast with ham and mushroom sauce which was delicious. Very tasty, well presented food. The beer and the wine was good too. We will be back. Highly recommended when in the area.

We stayed in the area for one night and decided to have dinner at the New Wellington. There was a sign outside that said Best steak n chips in town! With a statement like that, we had to try it....and I 'm so glad we did! There was a temporary limited menu, but there was still more than enough choice on there. Service was excellent, food was all piping hot, portions were very good and it all tasted incredible! We were so happy that we gave this place a try....homemade chocolate truffle cheesecake was absolutely delicious!! Thank you for a great meal...two very happy customers!

After a long drive back from Frome we called in to see the daughter on the way home.......She took us to the Wellington for a drink.....We was starving hungry and was just gong to grab a Macky D after a drink so glad we didn't...... FANTASTIC tasty food all 3 of us had the stake deal sirloin or rib eye with all the trimmings and a pud for £18 and there's plenty of it real GOOD portions All cooked to perfection just how I and my daughter like it well well cooked and my partners rare ...Real nice chips and onion rings and tasty as peppercorn sauce and lots of it .......Partner had Stilton sauce which she loved The 3 puds also fantastic where M&M cheesecake, Eaton mess and I had the banana spli...
